I apologize in advance if you came here hoping to see something funny… I’m a jumble of emotions today.
I know many of you who’ve lost loved ones to cancer have found it particularly hard to watch the Nandito Ako scenes where Holly’s in the hospital. That hit me hardest on today’s final episode.
It took me back four years when I had to say goodbye to one of my dearest friends in a hospital room not all that different from Holly’s…except it was real. The night of her funeral was when I heard David sing for the first time … Shop Around.
And now NA is over, David’s going away for two years and I know one door closes and another opens, as it did that day four years ago for me, but I just needed to … I don’t even know….
I do know I want to give a big thank you to everyone who’s ever dropped by here, shared your stories, your comments and your love for David. I’m not closing down or anything I just wanted to say that while I thought of it because, as David keeps reminding us, you never know how long you’ll get the chance to do that.
Mahal na mahal na mahal kita.

Apparently the “harana” is a traditional element of courtship in Filipino culture. But in this series, before Josh serenaded Anya with “Nandito Ako,” he warmed up with an improv’d song all his own (sung to the tune of “Smelly Cat“) ….
