This video for David Archuleta’s banger Faith in Me is Everything & More (sorry, could not resist)… actually, it’s more than EAM because I wasn’t a huge fan of that song tbh lol … but I digress 🙂 …
Back to flailing myself around the room to FIM because what David does in this video is almost literally what I’ve been doing around my house to this song, hahaha (minus the elevator, the road, the football field and the pool 🙂 )
I declare here in “print” that this is my favourite video David’s ever done. From his bureau hop/slide at the beginning right through to the twist ending, I LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!
And the song FIM is amazing, why he’s not spamming TikTok with it (like everyone else seems to do), and starting dance challenges, I have no idea. Just want everyone to hear it, you know?
Spoilers ahead for those who haven’t seen it… & a message to those who haven’t seen it: WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU??!! Are you currently trapped under something heavy??!! If so, my sympathies because you’re missing this amazing videooooo!!!!
I actually laughed out loud at spots. David peering over that fence? Hysterical! David falling into the pool?? HOWLed!!! His “peppermint twist” in the elevator?? ICONIC!!!
And this is the video where we finally see David dancing down the street in a wet T-shirt?! ay ay ay
I’ve seen comments referencing Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller, Footloose and other ’80s classics but the first one that came to mind for me was Back to the Future… it’s got hints of them all while being wholly original and perfectly David, you know?
Joseph was clearly an awesome experience for David and it shows… he’s, like, UNLEASHED here! Beautiful to see!! ❤

Deb I think this is my favorite mv of all of his mvs too! He is indeed “unleashed”!!! I LOLed at a few parts too but one that I love is after he runs past the people and doggie at the pool, he comes right back into the shot just to do a few more dance moves in front of them lol. It’s like he’s showing everyone how he’s not going to stop, how he’s just going to express himself because he’s feeling free!! I love this David so much!

Gotta just go with everybody’s comments, LOVE the video… the “dancing David, the fun, the humor, the energy, the joy, the freedom.” Beautifully shot, great choreography, everything! I saw in that Billboard interview his last four videos were done by these guys, and they have been collectively my favorites. I hope they keep working together, talented group!
And that TikTok – is there anything better than David just being David. His first album cover had the word “IT” graphically highlighted ….’nuff said.
The Billboard interview ❤️, (he has come a long way from that tongue tied 17 yr old we first saw), hopefully more Broadway (fingers crossed!), his insight into the Dreamcoat bullying, difficulty reconciling lifelong religious beliefs and his identity, what seems to be very sage advice about finding his way, his Christmas tour…. much to unpack. And he addressed it all with grace, dignity and honesty. My favorite part though… “maybe I can just be happy.”
