This weekend begins the first long weekend of the summer, with Monday being Victoria Day.
Generally, we celebrate here by wearing tiaras and walking around speaking in a fake British accent but this year, I thought I’d do a special tribute to Queen Vic herself.
She was quite a woman, marrying for love (astounding for royalty of her time), having nine children and reigning as Queen for 63 years. Fun fact: She loved music and I have a feeling she’d be a huge David Archuleta fan.
I imagine her fangirling would have gone something like this….

I think you’re right! Queen Victoria was her own woman and would have loved David’s songs, making him rewrite MKOP to ensure that there would be something about possessing royal dignity and bearing. Humble she maybe wasn’t.
I thought Beaver Tails were fried! Now I must scan for Chapman news, just to taste one.

Just love his acoustic “Numb” ! Wow, so good and David sounds fabulous on all of the songs. I had a feeling he must have written that sweet, sweet song, “My Little Prayer” (or did someone mention that previously, not sure but it is lovely). Loved reading DjaFan’s recap….wonderful….and how great that she got to speak to David in Spanish.
He just puts so much life and sensitivity into whatever he is singing and with that amazing voice, it becomes powerful and such a joy to listen to. Looking forward to album # 7 !!
