I’ve been checking this sight ever since I saw that tweet. I said to myself, this is a picture screaming out for a post by TOfan. I love it. Especially the part about the hair on the floor and the locket. Too funny. I’d love to know what he sang, too. You can tell by his stance that he is emoting. No matter where he sings, he puts his all into it. Gotta love him. I’m sure he’s now got 3 new fans.

Got a text from a niece on Thursday saying she was going to a David Archuleta music and spoken word presented by the Laguna Niguel Stake Relief Society. That’s the women’s organization for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So, I guess that may be why he was in Orange County. I have a pic of the text she sent saying it was that night at 7:00 pm and everyone was told they could bring friends and neighbors. I haven’t heard from her yet about the evening, but she was excited to attend. She is a photographer and said she’d get pictures, but since I haven’t seen any, maybe they said no photos.
Okay, just heard from her and things beyond her control kept her from being able to go, but she said, “tons of her friends went and said it was amazing and he sang tons of songs.”
The last picture above looks like it may have been from that event.

There were several comments on his Barbershop Instagram post from people that went to the California event. Of course, they loved his singing and speaking. One hoped it had been videotaped, but I’m guessing it wasn’t.

One part sounded like one of his vocal warm ups with a melody .
That’s a jazz style called scatting. Ella Fitzgerald was probably the most famous for it. Her scatting starts at 1:30
David did it very well! I would love to hear more.
I’d love to hear more scatting from him, too… it’s super hard to do and if not done well can be really annoying, lol.
