I feel we have not talked enough about how amazing this acoustic Riu Riu Chiu is.
It’s now two months after Christmas and I’m STILL listening to it. SOOOOOO good.
I think acoustic David may be my favourite… and Spanish David is, well, muy bien, si? 😉 (That’s it for my Spanish btw)
How he can take the same song and do it so many different ways, each of which is amazing in its own way (hello, Little Drummer Boy), baffles me… in a good way.
And some of this one sounds as though he’s just riffing, making it up as he goes along, gliding along a winding lazy river of pure molten gold… MORE, I need MOOOOOORE!!!!!

David is amazing with his renditions, acoustically (and otherwise). An acoustic album from him…..well I think it would be pretty wonderful. 🙂
This is the first time I have heard that acoustic Riu Riu Chiu, and I have to say it is absolutely beautiful. If I could tell David anything, it would be to go the acoustic route. Seriously, is there any other singer out there who can sing a song like David does without having all kinds of bells and whistles to distract the listener. He is brilliant. I get very frustrated when I see and hear mediocre singers, having people sing their praises and yet a phenomenal talent like David has to look for a producer to work with. If they had any sense they would be breaking down his door to get the chance to work with him. I think I just started my bucket list, I want to attend an acoustic concert starring David. That’s David Archuleta of course.
Hogging a little off topic space here to spread the word about a fan dinner before David’s Boise concert. More fans coming to little ol’ Boise than I first thought (YAY!), so we are gathering. Woo to the Mega Whoo. A clip of David singing “Imagine” on AI just now. Contestant Trent Harmon heard David when he was a kid in 2008 and said he sang “Imagine” constantly after that. David inspired him to be on Idol. 😀
