While we wait for new David music, forgive me while I fangirl for another artist who is talented, genuine, humble, quirky and writes amazing songs… Ben Rector. I have two of his albums and every song on both of them is a gem. He’s not a big name but he just keeps plugging along building a following and a solid catalogue of understated, lovely music with his own signature Ben Rector sound.
He has a new album coming out soon, Brand New, and this is the first single. Love it.
He’s also doing this “free concert in someone’s living room” contest… David should totally do this someday! And I should win. Just sayin’.

I listened to your Ben Rector and liked him! He reminds me of Paul Simon, and that’s high praise indeed. I liked the Paris video, too. I had a great trip to Paris once, sigh.

I think we’ll have about as much warning as we did with BEGIN. We knew he was working on something then, but it was totally a surprise when it came out.
Strange, I don’t remember it being a surprise, hmm.
Maybe I should have said WHEN it came out? The album itself wasn’t much of a surprise but when the first leak happened and it would be the next week, I was surprised.

Hadn’t heard of Ben Rector but like him too, good video and good sound! Good of you to share. Lots of talented artists out there making their way. Reminds me of the days when David would post and give links to different artists. Hope when his new music is released, others will post and link to David’s new album! Yes, David can be full of surprises so you never know when we will hear about it.
Maybe he will be introducing some new songs at his upcoming concerts. One thing I feel sure of, his concerts will be nothing short of fabulous. 🙂

Oh I wish….but no, won’t be able to make it to any of these upcoming shows. Keep hoping he will be able to do a concert a little closer to me but will see I guess. Do intend to see him in concert again though! Somewhere, sometime. 🙂
I admit I didn’t know of Ben Rector but I like his sound very much thanks for sharing that.
I watched the video of O Come Ye Saints again (not sure if I have the right title) and his vocals are really something else, does anyone have an mp3 of the song on its own?
