I’m sneaking time at work to post this because we have no power at home right now (#icestorm2013). I am not complaining though (#lies).
It’s actually been kind of cool (#literally) to be forced away from the computer/TV etc. and to bundle up and wrap gifts by candlelight. And thanks to battery-powered speakers hooked up to my iPod, I’ve had these mp3s (#asldkfjalfdkajslkfj) to warm my soul.
I don’t think anything David’s done to date has hit me quite like these have. I’m not sure why (and I don’t want to analyze it too much to break the spell), I just know it’s true. I also know I’m not alone. (I see you all out there hitting “replay”!) And isn’t his “Buenos tardes” like the “Hey guys, it’s David here!” we’ve missed so much??

Yep,the rehearsal might be my fave thing ever. There is just something about it, perfect for his voice,the little lilty thing he does, it’s just all perfect.
I don’t think I will ever get over O Ven!! Especially the rehearsal! Right from the first listen, my heart hurt!! Felt like it was going to burst!! Is this what he’s been doing to the people he’s been working with in Chile?? Because now I’m feeling a little sorry for them that he’s leaving soon (just a little tho cuz he needs to come home!!)!! I had it on repeat for an hour and half on my drive home from work the first night we were served this little gem!! Couldn’t get enough…still can’t. Never going to recover from this one and don’t even want to try….

I have watched the reheasal video so many times I could pick out everyone of the people listening on a crowded city street. David shines. No words can describe how beautiful it is. (I’ve tried.) This video helps me better understand why I literally count the days until he is back home.

The grandkids spent yesterday “tubing” in the snowy mountains. Not to be outdone by that popular holiday activity, I spent yesterday “tubing” at the computer. Can’t seem to get enough Archuleta Christmas this year. Thanks for posting all these seasonal goodies. Yummy.

Thank you so much Deb for posting the translation! I was wondering how it was the same/different from our traditional English lyrics. I love the words and it’s kind of a thrill to hear him pronounce his own name in Spanish.
I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve watched this, tho I tend to stop it at 2:30 and go back to the beginning over and over. Is it just me or should David always have heavenly sounding trumpets (like at 1:33– or are those French horns? Whatever, he should always have brass and strings) at the ready for his performances? I thought the same thing at the end of his MoTab “Joy to the World.” And for that matter, he should always have a choir to give him the intro he had at the beginning of “Joy to the World” just to make it clear that he’s amazing. Then he could go on to sing “Touch My Hand” or whatever pop song he wanted.
What blows me away about this is that he just walks in, picks up the paper and gets down to business like it’s no big deal that he’s got a giant angel voice busting out inside him like a genie in a bottle. It’s like some crazy super power. Ay yi yi. I can’t even.
