Oh wait, forgot one of my favorite moments ever and thank goodness for birthdays! πŸ˜€

There are more but I’ll stop spamming now lol.

    • TOfan's avatar TOfan says:

bahahaha I was actually going to include that exact Happy Birthday!!! It’s on my Top 25 playlist on my ipod, lolol… and don’t even get me started on This Christmas! eeeeek, you already did….

Well now. I refuse to pick. Because honestly….I don’t have one standout soulful performance, because my mental list of favorites has gotten too big to carry around in my head full of David! And he’s like one big bowl of S.O.U.L.fulness to me. That said…on my list is that guy, I never forgot, who manages to keep shoveling down his potato salad while jerking his head on David’s “Stevie” cover…I feel you, man! I love when people go nuts with the Archuwonder. And I love any DA version of “Crazy”…David brings an unmatched depth of emotion, heart & soul to this song, each and every time…brings it to life in a way I otherwise never felt it. (But then that’s like on every song!) That version above, I had never seen….I absolutely love it. ❀
And I only recently saw that Elevator also…and LOVE that too! As you can see…I really can't pick. Thanks+++ for posting (I actually couldn't sleep at 4am, opened computer to this, and then I was really awake! But hey, if ya gotta lose sleep, this is the way to go. πŸ˜‰ )

Oh ps. Meant to add…speaking of “Soul-man from Utah”, that I think Arsenio coined during S.S. days…I’ve been thinking lately, since Arsenio returned to late night…I’d love to see David appear on the show with him all these years later, when he returns. I loved Arsenio’s affectionate treatment of David during S.S., it might be nice to see them interact now, with that history behind them and to showcase David now. Just a thought.

    • TOfan's avatar TOfan says:

spooky, amb4da, I was thinking the very same thing! I follow Elliot Yamin on twitter (love his voice and bought his 1st album but his songs just don’t grab me) and he tweeted about singing on Arsenio’s new show so of course I pictured D. doing the same thing! πŸ™‚

    Arghhh, all perfect choices. πŸ™‚
This has always been a fave of mine, no matter the chatter, no matter the extraneous stuff.
He’s in a world of his own.

Hmmm. Soul searching decisions. I’ll take ’em all, thankyouverymuch!! And I do appreciate the Monday morning concert. (How many days again until he comes home?)

For the record, I am busy tonight. Thanks to TOfan and Tina, I will be on another “This Christmas” tour.

This is a wonderfully soulful acoustic Other Side of Down from Denver, especially what he does at about 2:14! πŸ™‚

Well now you have to forgive my flailing at the beginning of that video because I knew he was about to kill me ;D

It’s my firm believe that any This Christmas with David is a good Christmas lol.

      • betsy's avatar betsy says:

I didn’t know that was you, but the flailing is more than understandable. πŸ™‚
You held it together remarkably well.

        • TOfan's avatar TOfan says:

That is totally my favourite!!! (Tina-flailing and all, hahahaha.) But I do also love each and every one in their own groovy way. πŸ™‚ #GROOVECHULETA2014

I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my miiiiind….circa 2008, in front of the tv during Shop Around, haven’t seen it since (ain’t lookin’, much more fun to follow my heart)..but I digress…lovin’ this post still! And came to share this one(hope it posts by copy/pasting link):

On the same note of when we all lost our minds, this full-circle moment of WWTC with Jeff LeBlanc during MKOC (“last show and we haven’t had a jam yet!”) I mean really…the be-dop ba da bop, jazzy, groovalish runs, head bops, hand jives, easy vibey vibe…..I dare you not to chair dance and throw your “Hollah” hand up now… πŸ™‚ Love David in this kind of a zone, which seems to suit his soul. Come back soon, David, and do more of this, please!!

  13. peppertara's avatar peppertara says:

Oh my heck….so many incredibly wonderful soulful sounds from David. Adore soulful David.
    All sooooo…..good!
Honestly, he needs to record an extra soulful album. Then of course he would have to record a new pop album. Then of course an Acoustic only album. Then of course a rockin’ R&B album. Then of course a sweet, love song filled album. Then of course a truly inspirational album. Then of course the ever anticipated Spanish album. Then a live concert/DVD album. Then of course the Whoa oh oh, hums and growls album. πŸ™‚ and who knows what else.
He is undeniably able to do it all. I’ll take any of it.
