I’m not into astrology (probably because Aquarians question these things 😆 ) but some good friends are, including the fan-friend who sent me the following “chart” from a professional astrologer. Now, apparently this astrologer was only given David’s birthdate info, his first name and initial (and had no idea it was the incomparable Archulator being charted):
David A is an unsung hero, an undiscovered genius…and an unknown quantity. It is because David is such an unknown quantity that his heroism goes unsung and his genius undiscovered. Some people will blow their own trumpets from the highest hill even when those trumpets are battered and badly out of tune. David is rather the opposite. No matter how bright the light inside him shines, he will always find a bushel big enough to hide it under. David wants to be thought of as stable, steady and solid. He tries his best to do what the world expects of him, he wants to be a trooper – a loyal, reliable, down-to-earth kind of character. In the attempt to give this impression David strives to be modest, restrained and realistic. He almost succeeds. Through diligent effort David manages to persuade himself and the rest of the watching world that he is a known quantity. At best he will allow himself to be known for his talent in one particular area or for his courage with regard to one particular topic. The trouble is David is a Capricorn and Capricorns, despite all that some astrologers say, are always unknown quantities.
Deep down inside David yearns to be wild and crazy, footloose and fancy-free. He wants to break the rules, question convention and court controversy. Only one thing stops him – a little voice in the back of his head that says “Excuse me, who do you think you are? That’s not the kind of activity that David A can get away with.” If you want to be a true friend to David A you must encourage him to ignore that voice. He will love you for it and he won’t need much encouraging. David A was born to be brilliant. He was destined to be daring. One day he will realize this and then…the world had better look out.

Just want to say Tofan, I have no idea how you continually come up with such interesting and creative posts – but I surely do appreciate your creativity, wit and hard work.
I’ve never been into astrology either, but this charting is intriguing – and surprisingly, jives with my own personal perception. “David A was born to be brilliant. He was destined to be daring.” He has shown many times that he is a leader, a risk-taker, an independent thinker. I do believe he holds his destiny in his own hands.
(I watched the movie “Ray” last night (I remember D tweeting about watching it while on his first tour), I couldn’t help noticing some parallels – and all I could think about was D and his immense talent and his potential.)

Ha, love the handstand poll. The chart is interesting….an unknown quantity, much to be said for that and ‘born to be brilliant, destined to be daring’….yes, much of that already there! I do think Astrology has its place (I think of it as a very old science actually) and to be even more accurate you need his time of birth, haha. Very interesting read though. Who knows what lingers in the innermost workings of David. Love who he is right now and who he will become, I am sure. Seems one of the most important things to him is to keep growing and learning…a wise young man.

And one of the reasons I think I included the handstand poll was because, for me, that first time he did the handstand with Cook was just so unexpected, yet so perfect, I mean who could have predicted adorkable non-sporty D. could ace a handstand?? And then he sprung it on us again in the middle of a “like/love” scene as Josh Bradley like it was no big deal?? I’m not explaining this well, but to me it sort of sums up what that horoscope was saying… that watch out world, genius David can turn things upside down and surprise us all at a moment’s notice. 🙂

This is pretty dang cool………. I am not much into horoscopes but this one seems quite profound!!!
Not gonna lie, when I first read this horoscope it freaked me out a little. It seemed soooo spot on. I think David tries very hard to set a good example of being a grounded and responsible human being (and he does a bang up job of it) yet I do believe that David has a wild streak in him. Not an irreverent wild streak, but a desire to take risks, a desire to test the water, a desire to “cut loose”…a desire to surprise. He’s shown us this side of himself on many occasions. The “handstand” moment, the twirling Zero Gravity moves, his salsa, the Little Drummer Boy “ME AND MY DRUUUMMM!!!!” moment, Nandito Ako and more recently, punching his way through “Eye of the Tiger” or getting down on his knee and flinging his hat into the crowd…those moments where we’re thinking, “Who is this guy and where has he been hiding??” I’ve always seen the potential in David, I think we all have. It’s what makes being a fan of his so exciting! I hope that while he’s away he becomes comfortable with embracing the potential within himself and, if it happens, I couldn’t agree more…”The world had better look out.” 😀

I agree with this! I also remember that this desire doesn’t necessarily extend to all areas of a person’s life. I think David has an intense desire to be adventuresome artistically & as a performer. I can also imagine that are some other areas in which he might have no such desire.

Have to say, I also have no idea TOfan, how you always come up with such interesting/witty/creative/unique posts all the time. I think you must have that ‘unknown quantity’ within you. Seems to be endless and glad that it is.
On a sidenote, heard TOSOD playing in the grocery store the other day. Made my otherwise routine, humdrum shopping experience rather exciting and special. Doesn’t take much when it comes to David. 🙂
