I took this video driving through Vermont last week (holding my iPod out the sunroof… don’t worry, I was in the passenger seat). Driving along, David was on the stereo (surprise, surprise) and this song seemed like the perfect fit for this country road.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me completeOh simple thing where have you gone?
I’m getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you’re gonna let me in
I’m getting tired and I need somewhere to beginI came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I’ve been dreaming of?Oh simple thing where have you gone?
I’m getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you’re gonna let me in
I’m getting tired and I need somewhere to beginAnd if you have a minute why don’t we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don’t we go
Somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know?
When I transferred it to iMovie, my little narrow iPod view widened into this strange, distorted view but it looked sort of dreamy so I left it like that.
(Sorry in advance for any motion sickness. 🙂 )
Very nice, TOfan — David’s voice and lovely scenery — and no Gravol required (lol).
That is definitely a perfect song for that lovely country road. Beautiful scenery, what a nice drive and with David singing, all fits together nicely. I almost expected to see David pop up somewhere along the side of the road singing his heart out, haha.
Such a pretty video TOfan, looks lovely in Vermont, early fall colours….think David’s favourite season too (and mine). The slightly “distorted, dreamy view” was actually very, very nice.
This is sooo pretty!!! What a cool idea> David’s voice and gorgeous fall scenery> Thanks TOfan!
Beautiful scenery + gorgeous voice = peaceful 3:54 minutes of the day 🙂 Thanks TOfan!
Absolutely nothing happens in this video but I’d never seen it before … oh, and David’s in it 😆
