Did you take the test? What’s your number?? (My results tied under 4, 5 and 9… so, basically, I have multiple personalities 🙂 )
Wow! I totally missed this! It’s awesome! Thanks for bringing it here, Deb.
People asked good questions and the answers were as satisfying as a VIP, especially with the pictures and emoties.
Enneagram is the current obsession, eh? What number is he? I prefer Myers-Briggs, even though neither assessment is particularly accepted by psychologists. Pseudoscience can be fun!
Also, “chubs.” Now I’m curious.
I think he’s done Myers-Briggs too, Ms. B… ‘cuz I remember in one of his radio interviews in Manila both David and the DJ said they were “INFJ” … I don’t know Myers-Briggs so no idea what that means, lol. He’s clearly very into psychology, which is a fascinating subject. And also, David is a fascinating subject, hahaha.
Introspective, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judgement would be INFJ. I’m an INTP (or at least I was when I took the full, paid test as part of a Boeing “bonding” exercise). Here’s a site to take a free version of the test if you’re interested. https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test Otherwise, you can just look up the types. https://www.16personalities.com/personality-types “INFJs tend to see helping others as their purpose in life, but…”
Thanks for the link, Ms. B… I took the test and got the same as David… INFJ… even though it says that INFJs make up “less than one percent of the population” … here I thought I was pretty typical, lol. And I scored as 100% introvert, no surprise there, hahaha. Interesting stuff.
David said he was a 6 on Ennegram. I had never heard of it until David’s Q and A. He really did answer a lot of questions which was so much fun.
Oh! I see that now! Thanks Grammy J. I took the test he linked and came out 6 as well, but most of the time I could have chosen either answer. Did it mean for most of my life? For last week? Where’s the all of the above choice?
I wasn’t online for the live party last night, but I scrolled through all those questions later. Fun times for fans, and it looks like it was fun for David too. Thanks, Deb, for letting us have another (lingering) look!
I know next to nothing about Enneagram, but I am fascinated by David’s fascination with it. I vaguely remember reading about Dr. Carl Jung’s interest in assessing personality types. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator came about because of Jung’s theories, and of course I took the test. Does anyone recall how quickly The Color Code exploded into popularity (circa 1987)? I passed that test with flying colors too. 😀
I agree with missbianca that much of this can be categorized as pseudoscience entertainment, like when I check my horoscope and absolutely believe the days that sound good, or when I take that online IQ test and learn that I am a “genius.” Right. Still, anything that promotes thoughtful self-examination can’t be a bad thing, which is why I am off to take the Enneagram test.
Wait, what? You ARE a genius. I am quite sure.
And yes, the path to discovery is always important.
Love this! 🙂 Thanks, TOfan.
So sorry to hear about the sad events there in Toronto. 😦 God bless you all as you work to heal. ❤
I missed all this too, although I have never heard of Enneagram, looks like fun. Thanks Deb, for bringing it all here. Some great questions and answers! Good of David to engage in this with his fans. Haven’t read through all the numbers and meanings but sounds interesting. Think a lot of us might have “multiple personalities”, lol.
Much peace and love to Toronto. ❤ ❤ ❤
