Watching the lovely and amazing @djhsail’s Peri’s HERE, I noticed the sweet ladies in front. They were using sign language to interpret David’s words and songs for the hearing impaired.

His words and songs.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Those ladies were signing for people who couldn’t hear David very well or not at all.

As I was mesmerized by the ballet of their hands, it suddenly struck me that some people might be inspired reading David’s words or by following him on social media, but will never get to hear that glorious voice. Not a single, pitch-perfect note.

It brought me to tears realizing… once again… just how blessed we are.

I never want to take that for granted.

“How in a million years could you ever take David’s voice for granted??” you might be screaming at your screen.

Good point. But, hey, he’s just so incredible all of the time that, yes, if my blood sugar is low and it’s been a while since I’ve had a Gilmore Girls fix, I do catch myself not fully appreciating the wonder that is David Archuleta. Every once in a while.

So, wow, this was some good reminder (as they say in Nova Scotia 🙂 ).

Back to the incredible #TOFW today… go check out Donna’s amazing Peri. or some of the stuffs I thought were particularly cool, below. (Not exhaustive, you’ll need to visit FOD for that, lol.)

Be Still My Soul

This BSMS from Donna’s Peri had me clutching my chest from the first note… not even kidding… by the end I was sobbing uncontrollably… it was like he was channelling something so pure and divine that my mortal body couldn’t quite handle it. You have been warned.

What a nice way to end my day. Beautiful music, great photos, recaps, all so nice and the periscopes, so good of folks to share! So true though, there are things that we take for granted, (every so often) just because they are always there. The signers do an awesome job….”the ballet of their hands”…..perfectly lovely description. I can only imagine that those who will never hear David’s voice, may only feel the words of course and perhaps some sense of the vibration of it all, just because it is that powerful and moving. Yes, we are blessed.
Every time David sings BOTW, BSMS (adore these) or any of the other wonderful songs, it is still like hearing them anew to me, always stunning, always so moving and there is always something a little new or unique about them it seems…..well, they are always simply gorgeous.
Thanks for all the goodies here TOfan, must listen again to these beautiful songs, so good!

To continue from Pepper’s comment, what a wonderful way to start my day. Thank you.

I came across this wonderful comment on David’s Facebook post, thought I would share. I hope this works:

Several months ago I was shopping in a small boutique when I heard the most beautiful song. I just had to know who was singing it and asked one of the clerks. It was “The Prayer” and she told me it was David Archuletta. I could hardly believe how beautiful and PERFECT this voice I heard was and the lyrics of the song touched my heart as my prayer to God. I had not heard your music before so I was eager to find more online. Your testimonies inspired me – finding your true self, being authentic, loving the Lord and serving others with humility and a sweet spirit. Listening to your voice and your testimony has inspired me to realize the impact that music can have on others when we use the talents God has placed in us. It’s given me a fresh motivation to walk in the calling and musical gifts He has placed in me, placing my eyes on Him and not letting fear of what others think or being outside of my comfort zone as I tend to be introverted, stop me from going forward. A few of my favourites are ‘Be Still my Soul’ and ‘He Showed Me How.’ Keep on being you and thank you ❤

Aw, such nice comments above. Always so nice to see those from fans (and new fans). “How beautiful and perfect this voice I heard was”. Yes, it is beautiful and perfect. 🙂
