Okay, guys, you’ll have to forgive me, feeling a little weepy today… in a good way.
Feeling generally blessed about so many things and then I come home to the amazingness that is David’s epic IG story series.
Remember back when we all were all lamenting the new no-vlog era? How much we missed those rambling, random, funny, sweet, so-David videos?
When we went through all the stages of grief over those little vids, ending with acceptance? When we said, “Hey, if David doesn’t like doing them, he shouldn’t do them”?
[What? You don’t remember saying that?]
Anywayyyys, he did tell us he hated doing them in no uncertain terms in one of his last-ever vlogs… “How am I doing? How are YOU doing??” yikes, still have post-traumatic stress over that one.
But now… I mean… these IG stories… they’re just… I can’t… he’s so…

Him snapping his fingers to “When you’re a Jet, you’re a Jet all the way” tho’ …. you guyyyysss… you probably don’t know how much of a West Side Story geek I am… I have lost count of how many times I’ve seen the movie and the live stage show (twice in London, England, alone, y’all)… I even have a cover CD that features Little Richard singing “I Feel Pretty” … I know every snap, every twirl, every word to every song… and although I pictured David as more of a Tony singing “Maria” and “Tonight” and “Somewhere” (SO many good songs), now that he’s super cool with shades and groovy jackets, sure, a Jet it is!

Never thought I’d see a video of David getting his hair washed. What’s next? Brushing his teeth? Shaving? Cleaning out the litter box? lol I think he’s in love! If so, not gonna complain. Love this new comfort he has in sharing his everyday life with us. Word to the Archuleta – you might want to leave the cell phone at home when you and your sweet gal go on your honeymoon. 😉
Haha, you never know what kind of Instagram will pop up next! Love it and love that he is so comfortable in sharing these random little events the way he does. Yes, he does seem very happy!
David does like his hats for sure, he probably has such a large collection (probably many of them given to him) that he likes to wear them.
West Side Story, a great movie. Have never seen the live stage show but great that you have taken in so many shows TOfan!
How can you not grin? I wonder why vlogs were a “don’t like” when these seem to be a “like”? Of course, if they slip into “don’t like” territory, I hope he follows his feelings rather than his oughta-do list.
Especially funny for me because, though I didn’t IG it, I did watch my hair being cut for the very first time recently. How can that be? Because my eyes used to be so bad I really couldn’t see a thing without my glasses. It was fun, snip snip here, snip snip there. Oh wait, wrong song. I love me some West Side Story, too, and David would make a great Tony. (Bit of trivia: the university I went to, Carnegie Mellon, has always had a top-ranked drama department. I got to see them perform West Side Story in a very small theater–and theJets /Sarksh number blew me away with its choreography. Soory a out the typos, my cat’s butt is sort of on the keyboard.)
Oh and I’ve taken all kinds of painting and other “real” media classes and of them all, watercolor is the hardest for me. Maybe fingerpainting to spark that creativity.
Yep, David’s Instagram stories remind me of the Vlogs of old especially this one. I loved the Vlogs so I’m glad he’s doing these fun, random Instagram stories. His AI buddy, Brooke White also does quirky Instagram stories so if anyone here doesn’t follow her, I’d recommend giving her a follow. She has the cutest little girl and baby boy.
Love the instagram stories, love the haircut, love the West Side Story jacket, really really love the hint of scruff on his face 😘😘….hate the hat lol. That hat needs to disappear 🙈🙈. That’s all ❤❤
