Made me sad to think that David was feeling down this morning… and pretty remarkable that he turns it around by shifting the focus off of himself and toward helping others.
He clearly does this a lot more than we ever hear about … in fact, this was the first comment I saw when I saw his IG post:

Late to the party as usual–I am much relieved that @DavidUniverse had a copy of the snippet, otherwise I wouldn’t have heard those gorgeous, low tones at all. When I try the VEVO version I just get nasty static (and visuals).
Played Christmas music yesterday from a very old iPod that hasn’t been synced since before CFTH. No David in the mix! Tragic!
The Voice has a copy that you can hear also. Probably our friends over there are the ones who captured it when it came out. That is their custom.

David, I know you’re technically a grown man and we are all prone to our ups and downs but I’m sorry, I am having trouble accepting you were feeling “a little down and just small” this morning. That is not acceptable to me … for, in the words of Tumblr queen Tina, “you are a precious porkchop who must be protected at all costs”… just yesterday we were all flailing over a nanosecond clip of you singing The Prayer sounding like the star of the bass section of some heavenly choir and thousands of days were brightened instantly but now you’re feeling down??? That does not seem fair. You’ve brought so much joy to so many you should be able to skip the down days and live in Willy Wonka’s chocolate dream factory year-round. But I know you’re a sensitive soul and that’s part of what makes you such a brilliant artist but it saddens me to think you have dark days just like the rest of us. ‘Cuz you’re special. That is all.

I agree 100%. David shouldn’t be sad, but alas he is human just like the rest of us. But it is so David-like to look to the positive and try to shine a light to others. I loved reading all the comments to his Facebook and instagram post. it was such a help to others. We all need to shine a light in this dark world.
I liked his thoughts. We all have times when we feel small and down. Takes great courage and self confidence to share. Kudos to him. I found it to be a great opening remark that leads to sharing a homily of faith and encouragement to help others which he apparently draws strength from. *don’t throw tomatoes please & thank you* And, yes, I am admittedly a bit odd. Lol. 😉

Ha, well as soon as I saw the tweet I ran to preorder too. Had to, this should be beautiful and I believe in David’s tweet/message it said the extra track would be from him, sweet. I think that is the case. This is certainly worth it. It did say a delay regarding Itunes so maybe it will still be available later, not sure. Really looking forward to this! Holidays, beautiful music, beautiful voices, we sure need it in this world.
