Gotta get through this

We need David Archuleta’s voice in this crazy world…

He brings out the best in us, joy, love, life, but most of all hope. Listening to his songs reminds me of all that is good in this world… and some days I need reminding more than others.

I know David isn’t magic … or superhuman… or powered by angel wings… but his music sure is. And boy do we ever need it now more than ever. At least I do.

And not just to sugarcoat the tough times or anesthetize us against the world’s ugliness… although that’s not such a bad thing sometimes… but to help us remember we’re not alone, that we’re only human and all trying to put one foot in front of the other on the up and down elevator of life (sorry, couldn’t resist 🙂 ).

Like all beautiful, life-affirming works of joy, his music needs to be shared, celebrated and embraced en masse… not that it will cure the world’s ills but it can certainly make them easier to bear. I’m convinced that every time he sings, someone somewhere feels healed in some way. That is a remarkable gift and I feel so grateful for it.

Peace be with you all … hug those you love, and maybe especially those you don’t.

Here’s what I felt like listening to today, how about you?

So true and beautiful. Thank you 🙂

  3. David’s singing is so healing. Put GCT in last eve and watched the whole thing 🙂
I gift a lot of David’s music and often wonder if anyone listens to it. Today I went to a Friends for a Christmas gathering and David’s CFTH was playing all evening in the background. :)) Had to share that!! Also found out from a friend recently that her favorite on GCT is the Cat and Mouse song. We’ll see now if I hear any BEGIN. stories 🙂 And now we are hearing how much his singing is meaning to those in Chile. David’s music has been a God send. Thanks for being here to allow us to share.

      thanks, jeff and pabuckie!

Heidijoy, I know exactly what you mean about gifting David’s music but not knowing if peeps actually listen or not… so cool that you now know that they are! David’s music is a God send, what a perfect way to describe it! 🙂

Thank you for this, TOfan <33333 So true, we need David's voice in this broken broken world. He has such a gift of healing and I'm so glad he's chosen to share it with the world.

Broken is my fav. That song I think is so applicable to the last couple days. Such a beautiful song.

What a beautiful post!! The world sure does need his voice and he may not be an angel himself but no one can tell me that he doesn’t sing like one….my go-to song right now is O Holy Night…both his English and his Spanish versions 🙂

So beautifully said TOfan….and so very true! To me (and many others) David has always had a healing voice. A rare gift and meant to be shared….necessary to be shared. I’m very grateful for it too. A light in a sometimes very dark world. Hearts are broken, all the light out there is needed. Thank goodness for lights such as David and his healing voice and yes, we do need his voice and we need all the goodness there is out there. Peace and comfort to all those hurting, peace to all.
David’s Broken, O Holy NIght, The Prayer are my comfort these days. ❤
