Just catching up with David in the Philippines….now that is my kind of perfect reception and treatment of Mr. A. In the Filipino microcosm, he is everything and more, a superstar, a singer, songwriter, celebrity and soon to be actor. Plus he is so well regarded on many levels, so embraced for who he is, he lets down his guard and speaks without those protective shields up. Warm fuzzies everywhere.

Kiz, at first, I was thinking that, as you say, when David’s abroad he feels the “love” from not only fans but entertainment execs, the media, etc. and so he lets down his guard and opens up … now I’m thinking maybe the long trip, time change, etc. contributes to letting his defences down … jet lag FTW!!! 😆
If it’s jet lag, let’s put that in an atomizer and spritz it around periodically when we just want to know something important.
You may have something on the post stress reaction…In interviews the evening post the AI finale results he was as vocal and charming as I’ve ever seen him; maybe that was fueled by pure relief. 😀 From what I’ve seen he is a creature of moods, not the wildly swinging kind, but the more nuanced kind as in you might get five words instead of three in an answer..lolz. Still lots of warm fuzzies coming over the net and videos from the Philippines, no denying that.

I had the wrong interview, lol Love that one after the finale. It was like, where have they been hiding this guy. I always felt they put a bit of a muzzle on him.
cool to see both interviews again 🙂 Watching them, it really hits me how very young he was during Idol … the pressure, yikes.
I live in a small town in a small county so imagine my shock when, as I was reading the local morning paper, I see David’s smiling face with the headline: Archuleta starts Philippine series!!!!!!!!!!! It was a small article, but it was in my local paper!!!!!! eeeeeeeeee!!!!

Just so excited for this opportunity for him. At first I was a little befuddled by the timing, but now I think it is perfect, and the absolute perfect place to do it. Very wise indeed.
A, what was it, 2-day crash acting course and he is flying off halfway around the world to star in a mini-series and record a beautiful filipino love song. Piece of cake.

Tons of stories but no time to tell them. I haven;’t even written anything on TDC. Just posting vids, pix & news as fast as we can but there will interesting tales to tell. Even us among the Council of the Elders of Archileta Philippines and ARCH had not much time to talk…

Yes, lots of fun and excitement!! Love that David is starring in a drama, love story…new adventures for him. Hugs, slaps…read that David wanted the real thing and it took several takes, oh David. Very happy that there will probably be a DVD, yes! Cannot wait to hear David sing Nandito Ako!
