wow! David has such a great time in China! It was so nice that he got there a couple of days before he sang to get acclimated. Sang beautifully with a debut of Wait. Made a video and had a small gathering of fans for a M&G. He got to tour and EAT! Praying for a safe return. Oh Boy! A busy Nov and Dec coming up. So nice to be getting new videos and pictures every day. Exciting time in Archuletaville!
3 covers and Crush, all on piano. I was reminded yet again of the “spiritual” look David takes on in facial expression and body language during “Angels.”
Never saw 4 piano performances all in a row…wow! Piano man indeed!
The 2nd from the bottom, side-profile, still photo is brimming over with peace and balance. Wonder if that was taken during the “Angel’s” performance.
Ref – thanks for posting the “Silent Night” duo. I heard that same performance, believe it or not, in a Hilton hotel lobby just this week. Glad it is making the rounds again this year in certain hotel chains.

Still trying to figure out why the live “Wait” is’nt grabbing me…… first time for everything> first time I enjoy the studio version more than live… strang but true….guess I need to hear it live, teehee
Ref, I was thinking the same thing… there are so few songs of his that I enjoy more on record, Wait is one and actually Crush is another, lol, (although I LoVE some of his more slowed down acoustic versions of Crush).
I actually like the live Wait better than the studio, but I completely agree with Crush, I like that studio version wayyyy better!
I really like the recorded Wait as well. From the first time I heard it, it (and it’s drummish sounding self) reminded me of a Beach Boys song, or maybe Beach Boys sound. I can’t pinpoint it. Not a huge BB fan, just really like some of their songs. Maybe I’ll listen to a few to see where I got that impression.
Strange, Deb, that you mentioned the original Crush. Ten minutes ago I watched the original video. I hadn’t seen that in maybe a year. It’s got 30 million views. 🙂
I’m a big BB fan, esp. their early stuff, amazing harmonies, layering of sounds, I think Brian Wilson’s a mad genius, lol. … 30 million views? yay! Still see sooo many tweets about people (non-diehard fans) still loving Crush. 🙂

Love that the peeps in Asia love David too. Great supply of videos and David and piano, piano and David, acoustic David, pure joy. He is in fine form! How about that ‘Crazy’! He needs to record that one. What a treat and what a great time for David in HK!
Didn’t know about the song ‘Don’t Tell Me’, sweet songwriter young David. David knew just the way things should be, even at such a young age.
Just catching up on all these wonderful videos…love all the very lovely photos, comments. Gotta love his band too and the photo of super talented Ben, haha. Well, apparently they all had one fabulous time over there.
Funny how some songs affect people differently…I love the acoustic ‘Wait’. Such passion, emotion and beautiful singing. It all comes from somewhere deep within him. Also love the recorded version however. Have a feeling this new video will be somewhat….umm….hypnotizing and mesmerizing ? 🙂
