The countdown is on to David’s upcoming performance in Myrtle Beach. 🙂
The thing about David doing a full concert set is the anticipation for VIDEO!!!!! Since the departure of previous management *coughmelcough* we seem to be full steam ahead for our honourable ninja videographers and cellcasters to do their work.
So I felt it was appropriate this Victoria Day weekend to give a hats off and thumbs up to all the royal peeps in this wonderful fan base who
a) have quality equipment
b) get great seats at concerts
c) sacrifice relaxing and absorbing the Voice so the rest of us can get lost in endless vortexes of audio and video delight!!!
All my David concert experiences have been so numbing I can barely get a pic. The idea of trying to listen and do something else as well makes me dizzy. My lack of decent technology makes tweeting impossible>>>> never mind cellcasting…..
Then there are those who upload and categorize and make mp3s and MGRs. The fanbase owes so much to all of you….. SO HUGE HUGS YOU who do this awesome and appreciated work!!!! (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! *glomps*)

Yes!! I am extremely grateful to all those wonderful people who provide us with videos! They are the best ever! I am often amazed at the quality of the videos / the speediness of the uploads. David fans rawk!
As for favourite concert vid to date, what an impossible question! First one I thought of though was:

Refnaf, I too am a complete spazz when it comes to doing anything remotely technical during a David concert so, yes, a HUGE thank you to the wonderful peeps who bring us vids, tweets, twitpics, cellcasts etc.
So hard to pick just one, but the first vid to come to mind was this MH from Providence … maybe because the amazing djxox/djbell took this vid (& I was at this show with you ref, sunshine, conditioner, dj, river, abrra, SF, kizzi? … geez I’m forgetting…need another tour obviously! lol
refnaf— so true, what an astounding round of applause we owe to our fellow fans and their amazing abilities with cameras, phones, and flip-cams. They are awesome!! 🙂
I have no favs–I’m in love with them all–the one I’m watching is always my fav at that moment. 🙂 I am, however, waiting on pins and needles for the MoTab DVD to come out. And, I must say that the National Anthem and God Bless America at Dodger Stadium last week raised the bar preee-ttee high for anyone else even attempting to sing those two songs.

I’ve always been grateful for those who take the time to record and share. I remember the first time I saw djxox record in Albany (Northern Lights) with her little camera and WOW what great videos she got…she has such a knack for getting the best video.

Very hard to pick a favorite, so many wonderful videos, can’t count them all. Love the videos posted here, Every one…gorgeous and unique! From David’s beautiful reverence in song to his more upbeat incredible performances and on the AI tour stage, phenomenal singing that I still find jaw dropping. Works For Me is one of my faves too, love that and adored his “Chestnut Song”!
Loved all the vids from David’s Christmas tour and Fields of Gold was one of my faves, so beautiful. I also love his cover of The Riddle to pieces. Love this black & white vid, his expressions, his smiles and of course his gorgeous voice. So incredibly sweet.
From the first solo tour perf at Sayerville, my concert buddy has been DJB and her trusty camera. She always manages the BEST seats or spots and is totally focused on recording every minute while I try to take it all in, numb and awestruck. Even the little 5 song NYC appearance, the hilarious megaphone at the book signing, Six Flags where she destroyed her knee, the fabulous Xmas concerts… Debbie hasn’t missed a moment of recording, even ala Ninja, so that her DJBell vids could be on youtube immediatley. I am so proud of her results and have too many favorites to mention (although Westbury’s whole Xmas show was unforgettable.) We can’t wait for the next round.
I attempted to take pictures and video my very first David concert. It was Fort Wayne, IN for the American Idol Tour. I was a complete mess as a photographer and even worse at video taking! Ha! Ha! Since that catastrophe, I am just an awestruck, head-in-the-lights, smile plastered-on type of gal who can only stand or sit there and be mesmerized by the Archuleta! I can’t even begin to understand how ANY of you can be so talented. I can only appreciate the labors-of-your-love. I sincerely and whole-heartily give kudos to the efforts of all who post their pictures and videos on all of Davids fan sites to enjoy! Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! 😉

So I didn’t think there was much chance of him moving any time soon. Unless of course he’s just going to be flying back & forth…

It’s such a hub for “real” musicians and he clearly loves it and feels at home there (I remember him saying in one of the ASCAP interviews that each time he goes there he doesn’t want to leave) and, as you say peppertara, he has friends & connections there … plus, it’s that much closer to here! bwahahahaha

abanana, I agree, I think the word ‘moving’ will probably mean a temporary stay if he does go. He could be planning to work on something in Nashville for a while and maybe that won’t be until later.
