I started to make a list of my favourite parts of this vlog but it’s basically the whole dang thing.
So much hand-wringing around the blogosphere about spins and radio adds and Bieber-bashing and along comes David … stoked to finish his album and start singing it, so taken with the lovely day he bursts into song over it, excited to share a song with us and boppin’ along to it in his chair … what was it I was worried about again? 😆

Oh my….vlog of awesomeness is right! How can he not brighten your day? It’s true, all the worry, concern, etc. just seems to evaporate after you watch something like this. David just shines joy and he certainly doesn’t seem worried about anything, love that he is excited for his new music. Radio promos, concerts, SBL performances and a new song? It all sounds pretty wonderful. Just love that random singing and David sharing different artists with us, he educates me!
Okay….pulling his eye down like that…well there is always a random funny moment (or 2 or 3) with David. Lol. Hope he never stops that, ha.

Archie’s vid should be on MTV/Vh1 soon. I think the label had to make some edits and blurs to make the video acceptable to MTV’s standards. (You can’t show logos. There are a lot of cell phones in Arhcie’s vids. And there’s that one shot where the girl takes her top off. Just kidding.)
That could explain why it hasn’t turned up on MuchMusic either.
Why Jive wouldn’t have had an MTV/Vh1-version video ready for the release date is beyond me. sheesh

I mean I have been on pins & needles since it was announced he was coming here! I just can’t take this kind of pressure! 😆

I have watched this vlog a “few” times 😉 It has so much Davidness especially the last minute. Its amazing to see him transform from the quirky guy to the soulful guy. its as if someone flipped a switch in his brain and he is not in control LOL
I have not made a MGR yet. Anyone have a fav time section? It needs to be short like 30 seconds so the repeat has the most impact. I’ll check back and see if there are any requests.

I am not a vlog watcher (I know…shame on me.) But since you ladies are my DA gurus, when Snowangelz highlights one I am obligated to watch at least some of it, haha. So when you posted the vlog I pressed play and watched the first 20 or so seconds in real time before using that slider bar to “watch” the rest of it by scanning via fast forward (I know…shame on me again.) But guess what, when I scanned past his face looking into the light his expression caught me and I stopped and rewound and watched it from there …which was where he is beginning to hear the music…. I think it is fascinating how even on fast forward/no sound/no context it is evident where he “transforms”… try it, it’s really amazing 🙂
wow, happy, I just tried it, and you’re right … with no sound you can really see the “switch flipping” as Abrra pointed out. David’s taken over by the music and the beat. So amazing to watch.
It reminded me of something I heard in the CBC documentary “The Musical Brain” (that Refnaf wrote about a while back). They were talking about the connection between music and movement in the brain, and that in some African cultures, there’s only one word in the language for both “music” and “movement.”
What’s also cool watching that part without sound is how his eyebrows get into the act. hahahaha, too much. 😆

Still love watching David’s vlog. It IS interesting to watch without sound! I watched the last half once in slow motion…..it was the way the video was loading for me at the time, ha. Fascinating to watch all of Davids’ expressions change and that shift into music is most noticeable and so much fun to watch. Yes he morphs from sweet rambly David into Mr. Soul Man in an instant it seems. I can understand how David could sometimes sing in his sleep as he has said, ha.
He’s got the music in him…..David impromtu is a wish of mine that this vlog has brought about. How fine would vlog concerts be?? Just D singing Row row row your Boat or what the random ever….!!!!
