(My hubby watched with me… or I should say, put up with me leaping up to dance like a crazy person during Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & CED and bawl my eyes out during Silent Night, OHN and Winter in the Air (it’s just soooo beautiful!!!)… and his comment afterward was, “that seemed really short”… that’s Guy code for, “that was awesome!!” 🙂 )
What did you guys like the most?
How incredible David’s voice sounded?? The awesome band?? That cool camera work, like back on Idol days?? The setlist?? That he was able to still squeeze in his stories?? That he was reading our comments even before the show?? (Hope he saw me say, “It’s not Christmas until David sings.” 🙂 ) His cool haircut?? And boots?? 🙂

p.s. I do wish StageIt would make the show viewable for ticket holders for 24 or 48 hours (like some of the other platforms)… there’s too much awesomeness to process in just a single viewing of a David Archuleta concert!! Plus, if peeps have a work conflict, or something. #justsayin

David Archuleta is my spirit animal.
1st time to watch a live virtual show of David and it was fantastic! His voice never falters. GAH. I missed the beginning of the show so I did not get to see his 1st song (was prepping a surprise breakfast for my daughter – got carried away, LOL) Too bad I did not get to complete a copy of the show.
I laughed, cried & danced. Laughed & cried some more that my daughter was giving me the side looks, haha. So much to look forward to for his next show, eh?

Stream of consciousness concert review (is there any other kind?):
David: He looked amazing. The dark clothes and dark background highlighted his glowy skin.Talk about perfection. Not many could stand up to such intense scrutiny, but there wasn’t a flaw to be seen.
Set List: Another piece of perfection in perfect order (tired of the word perfect? sorry, more to come!). Nothing beats David’s own Christmas songs intermixed with a few classics.
The Voice: Guess what…PERFECT. OMGosh, has he ever sounded better? The change ups and as always pitch perfect. Does anyone else hold their breath towards the end of Oh Holy Night?
Highlights: He Is Born – worth the price of admission right there. The First Noel – always loved its melody but last night it was delivered with so much raw emotion, David wasn’t the only one who teared up at the end. Winter In The Air – there are times in the recorded version that I wonder what it would sound like without the key change but live, it’s indescribable and the perfect artistic choice. I was blown away. Oh Holy Night – yes, this gets its a second mention, if fact it deserves its own post. It’s David’s song now and I know I’m not the only one who thinks Christmas doesn’t start without it. I feel truly blessed that we were able to hear it live this year.
Overall grade: A++++
Random thoughts: Who doesn’t love a hot mic right before the show (heads up Team D/A), David stopping to read the comments. If you ask me someone might be reading them before the show and perhaps even afterwards (heads up OG Archies). Pastel brought it up on Twitter how the show made her feel the next day and it caused me to pause – yes, I feel the same way. I think I will always remember this show, not for what I wrote above, but how it’s making me feel today, right now, in this moment – last night wasn’t Nashville in December but it was the next best thing. So much fun in the chat and so much love in the room. It’s all your fault DavidArchie, all your fault.

Silent Night, He is born . O holy night and winter in the air were my favorites. That voice makes the hair on my arms stand up. The gooseees! David as an artist has grown leaps and bound . His voice touches your soul . He is so as ease on stage with his fantastic band members.
The cameras made your feel that you were on stage and he was singing to you. The only criticism I have was it is never enough once you start to listen . You don’t want it to end . David make Christmas what it should be giving and careing for one another! He is such a blessing!

Just wonderful. Of course I wished I could see it start to finish again and reeeealllly focussss…which I was trying so hard to do, but between the squeeing with y’all, trying to tip (dang PayPal popped up!), quick segue’ back, chair dancing, bawling my eyes out…really fell apart during He Is Born/Silent Night…respectively both my favs off each album, I think anything pent up from one hell of a year came bawling out…then recovering…well…it was just harrrrd to take it ALL in like I like to…(80 times) afterward. However, I get why they took down the last YouTube someone posted after a StageIt…because I WANT him to make all his money. Still…ya know..wish I could. 🙂

Oh my goodness…David’s show was fabulous. I adore his Christmas shows. Every song was an A+ for me too. Yes, Christmas In the Air and Silent night were sublime and the fact that he sang Oh Holy Night at the end was my wish fulfilled. Truly a piece of heaven. ❤ The upbeat songs were such fun and the entire (albeit too short) concert was so good! David always in top form!

Fun, cheering, chair dancing, jaw agape, tears, gratitude ,.. I don’t sound too put together because the concert left me a blubbering pile of feels. It was really the first time this year that I’ve felt the Spirit of Christmas. It was just what I needed.
Winter in the Air was such perfection, my heart ached. Every note was a gift. I mentioned how much I loved it “live” to my husband and tonight he listened to Winter in the Air over and over on his way home from the shops.
As for David reading our comments, I realized looking at the photo above that I can recognize my user “photo”.
It looks like David will have another Christmas StageIt performance this coming Saturday with a philharmonic and youth choir. Tickets are just $5!

As for virtual concerts being kept up for viewing, it would be so great If they could do that with David’s concerts. 1. If you are typing in comments during the show you may miss little nuances. 2. It would just be extra wonderful to sit back and watch the whole concert again…and again. 🙂
I have a ticket to another artist’s Xmas show and the concert will be up for 48 hrs for ticket holders. You may pay a little more but well worth it!
