Deb, how did you write this witty post so quickly! Love it. This is what I was expecting from David – the release date and title of his new single. I was surprised that it is a brand new one we have never heard. I thought it would probably be “Say Me” or “I’m Ready”. Can’t wait to hear it!
I was hoping it would come out sooner but I’m glad we have a date at least. Waiting for the second part of “couple of exciting things” he promised in his 26 second video. 😉
My goodness don’t know how you wrote this so quickly either! Funny post and poll, lol. I don’t know what type of song it will be but I can clearly hear that gorgeous voice belting out the notes. Looking forward to hearing that voice on a new song (I already love it).
I was hoping the news would be music related and voila, so it is. Maybe if there is more news coming it will be about a video? Then there is always that very anticipated album. 🙂

Enjoyed the suggestions for Up All Night, LOL. I’ll take any or all, thank you. If you were around when Dick Clark previewed new songs with the crowd on American Bandstand, the standard positive review was, “It has a good beat and you can dance to it.”
After the mention of One Direction’s “Up All Night” (something I never would have known on my own), I had to check ASCAP to see how many other songs had the same name. Pages and pages and pages, more than 350 songs as I recall. I hope David’s is the one best remembered.
Up All Night sounds way better than Insomnia, imhbco (in my humble but correct opinion for those who don’t know) which explains the pages and pages of ASCAP entries.
Checking out of curiosity. 502 songs named “Insomnia.” I would never… There are a lot of sleepless people roaming this planet. ROFL.

David needs to get in gear and post his concert dates! Looks like several in June. I also saw there is one in September at a nice venue close to Park City, and a rumor of one in Snowflake, Arizona. Appears so far that he’s touring in the usual Utah, Idaho, Arizona which works great for him financially, but I’m still hoping he will take the gamble to branch out to other areas of the U.S. and Canada. We shall see.
thanks for reminding me about the one near Park City, Grammyj, I added it to the list. As much as I’d love him to come to Canada, I’m resigned to the fact that it ain’t gonna happen at this point. I think he’d have to sign with a label for that to happen and, actually, even when he was, he didn’t, so there you go. 😥
I’m hoping Up All Night will be upbeat, soulful pop, with a catchy hook. The lyrics will probably be about ” pondering things. ” I really believe David is happy with what he’s doing right now. I don’t believe he wants to be a big pop “star”. In fact, he would probably ” run back to Utah” if things started getting too stressful. I’m just glad he’s still making music and having concerts . I can enjoy them on his fan sites if he never comes east. I just hope that he doesn’t go full LDS, cuz I would really miss him !!!
oliveoil… as far as his faith and beliefs, I think we can safely say that David is ‘full LDS’. I think I know what you’re referring to though, and that would be with his music. I am LDS, and I agree with you. I hope he keeps writing, producing, and singing the way he is now. He will reach a greater audience, I think, if he does. I enjoy hearing his thoughts, and even ambitions, through his music. But, it doesn’t ‘preach’ at me. It gives me things to think about if I want to, or it just gives me some good melodies sung by an amazing guy, with an amazing voice, who has pretty much found who he brought back from his mission in Chile. I like that guy! ♥♥ Does this make sense?!
Tawna, you absolutely make sense and I agree with everything you said . I love Christian music but I also enjoy pop as well. Some pop musicians like the Fray have great spiritual themes in their music but it doesn’t feel churchy. That’s really all I meant. I just hope he keeps doing both kinds of music 🙂

She obviously doesn’t know the archu-detectives and we would find any press release, but it’s nice to have a heads up. I’m hoping she will get some good publicity for David. I guess at this point any publicity would be more than he’s had for awhile. People all over need to know about David’s new album and that he is baaaack!
