This Tumblr page isn’t around anymore (I checked 🙂 )… but thought I’d repost a few blasts from the past from that site, and add a few confessions of my own:
- I’m nervous about David being nervous about how his new music will be received.
- I’m scared it won’t do well and he’ll get a job modelling caps.
- I’m scared it’ll do so well I’ll never be able to get tickets to see him live again.
- I hope he is off getting hitched because he deserves to be happy… but also because we’ll get some killer love songs.
- I didn’t buy Nathan’s album. Or Gracie’s.
- I did lose count of how many copies of Numb I bought.
- I wish he’d have done more promo for Numb, it’s such a good song but how can people love it if they don’t know about it?
- I can’t believe I’m still blogging about him and think maybe that’s nuts and I should take up needlepoint or something.
- I still don’t understand the words to Something ‘Bout Love:
- Every night it’s all the same (what’s “all the same”? she doesn’t call? what?)
You’re frozen by the phone (why frozen? couldn’t pay the heating bill?)
You wait, something’s changed (so she did call? the heat did come on? I’m confused)
You blame yourself every day (for what? not paying that heating bill??)
You do it again (do what again? freeze by the phone??)
Every night (DO YOU SEE MY CONFUSION???)
- Every night it’s all the same (what’s “all the same”? she doesn’t call? what?)
- I’m more excited for this new music than I care to admit.

I still listen to Senseless and You’re Not a Very Good Liar. So there you have it.
I still listen to pretty much everything…released or not…except that Hannah Montana song and the Build A Bear song.
TOfan, don’t ever stop blogging about David unless he quits doing music. I can’t believe after all these years I’m still an ODD fan of David. I’m also really excited about the new music but tired of waiting for it. I think it’s going to be fabulous but wonder what David will do for promo. At least we ODD fans will know about it but don’t know how he will get the message out to his fans that no longer follow him closely.
In one way I think if I could wave a wand and make David the biggest star on the planet, I would, just because I think he deserves that. On the other hand , I don’t think David would want that, and it would come at a great personal price for him. I would settle for his talent , his beautiful voice, his heart felt lyrics, his joy of life, his respect and treatment of all people being acknowledged by people in the industry and fans alike. There are people who say we put him on a pedestal and think he can do no wrong, but I find there are a lot of people who dismiss him out of hand and don’t give him the credit he desetves. As long as he keeps making music I will be around to support him.
Me too. On a selfish note I miss pre-mission David when he released an album per year, did Vlogs and numerous appearances but that was too much for any human to do especially a shy introvert. He certainly didn’t want the fame and seems to have carved out a niche as an inspirational singer.
I like that, GrammyJ, …. “seems to have carved out a niche as an inspirational singer.” I think you’ve pegged it. 🙂
Exactly how I feel!
Well, I am definitely looking forward to David’s new music too. How it will be promoted, well, guess we will see. I guess the most important thing however, is what David is comfortable with and what makes him happy. I agree, his incredible talent should be shared and I’m sure it will be to a certain degree. He sure does deserve a lot of credit and recognition but some artists take the road that allows them to be themselves and not under the control of someone else’s demands and ideas.
Have to give him credit for that too. If he just keeps singing and recording and doing concerts that will be a pretty good thing

I too am so nervous for him about his new music 🎶 It’s pretty much guaranteed that I will love it but I want EVERYONE to go crazy for it. I want him to have the success he deserves,
How much promo will he do tho? People really need to listen to this new stuff, what we have heard so far has so much depth and of course his vocals are perfection…..
Time will tell….

Too bad he doesn’t open that fault of songs and record them all. I’m glad for those that have been posted even though they didn’t make his albums.
Confession Time!
I still listen to “Love Me Tender” from AI 7.
I am happy because he seems happier on his current path.
My ODD has evened out. I finally found the fan path that is mostly peaceful.
My want for new music remains off the charts.
I am grateful for Snowangelz and other fan bloggers for their dedication and hard work to maintain their blogs!
Ohhhh, confessions! I love reading all them and I’m finding myself nodding along to about 95% of these lol. I have a few myself 😉
1. I haaaaate the studio version of Angels from his first album.
2. I am obsessed with this random performance of God Bless America that he did at the Heroes baseball game back in 2011. I watch it at least 5 times a week. Youtube it. You can thank me later.
3. I waffle between annoyance and complete understanding at his social media silence. Mostly understanding but I have my moments. But if anyone else gets mad at him about it, I’m very defensive. HA. I am ridiculous.
4. I feel like he is way more giving of a person than many of his peers. He promotes other artists and helps them out on things but I very rarely see any fellow artists or “friends” mentioning him or his music. It is frustrating to me. Honestly, I think some take advantage of him. It ticks me off. Although the fact that he is such a giving person is one of the things that has kept me drawn to him so there you go.
5. I hope we get wedding pictures :p
6. I will never give up the dream of him one day singing for a Disney soundtrack. I mean, come on. He’s an actual Disney prince.

Me too!! I was doing pretty good until yesterday, then I was mad at him for not saying anything on social media. It’s the last week of February and where is the Instagram telling us the date the new single will be released? I’m guessing when at the end of January he said the new
single would be released next month he meant March.
I’m pretty sure that somewhere, and I can’t remember the spot, he has said February.!!!
so you think he’ll just drop it to surprise us with it? Who does he think he is, Beyonce? LOL
