Not out there grindin’ today, off work so been listening and watching, having a great time. Yes, yes,….David sounds amazing and great job from James. When I saw that retweet that showed up on my twitter, I said WHAT is this. Then I realized what it was and thought I’m not retweeting that. I still get shocked when I see stuff like that in the mainstream media. We aren’t in Mayberry anymore.
Love David and James the way they interact. They look like good friends. Glad to see him doing something age appropriate too and having fun. He’s still young. I don’t think he’s really settled on a particular style or genre. That’s okay with me, he can do it all.
So, it’s all been said here…and once again, we Archumaniacs are on the same page with the highlights (hint: with David it’s always ALL a HIGHLIGHT!)…So, yes to all….the HAND WAVE FTW, the jive dancin’, the smooth moves, the sooooother runs, the R&B’ness back, the lilting & layered vocals…soooo easssssy for that guy, the smiles, the hair, the shirt, (sorry James, I know I’m leaving you out here, and DJames will NOT like that, so thanks for this collab and good job! how’s that?)….anyhoo did I (re)cover it all?? Lol. Like I told some DA pals yesterday…those, what I call, “Old School DA R&B style smooth vocals” just hit me …like water after a long drought, that I rememebered again how dang thirsty I am for….yes we’ve been hearing him sing stuff in recent times…but somethin’ about this sounded kinda NMHF to me…and My Hands to me….those old layered, easy, pretttttty vocals.
