So by now, if you’re an Adele fan, you’ve likely checked out her new album, 25.
Confession: Not over-the-moon love-at-first-listen like I was with 21, but a few songs definitely grabbed me right away.
And, as always, in the back of my mind… okay, the front… was “how would David sound singing this?”
So, dear friends, please take this ultra official poll and the results will be Fed Ex’d immediately to Adele herself*.
(Feel free to share your thoughts on your choice in the comments… or maybe you haven’t heard the album yet, or you’re not an Adele fan, or you’ve been trapped under a large rock for a few weeks and haven’t heard her album news… in that case, please share your thoughts on #APEChotties 🙂 )
p.s. Not to influence you or anything, but this is my pick. David would KILL this one. ‘Natch.
*not really

MUST-SEE!!!!!

Just a reminder of a snippet of a moment of a whisper of a possibility of a glimmer of magical incomprehensible mysterious wonderment of joyful epiphany.
I had a similar reaction, TOfan, but I really love “Million Years Ago” because it has the Adele I was hoping to hear. I doubt David would go for the song because it is sooooo sad, but he would knock it out of the park vocally, probably out of the stratosphere. I wonder if he could match Adele’s lower register. 🙂
Adele’s songs are a little torchy for me–so far. I will still go back and listen because her voice is a wonderland, but the lyrics make me think that when she buried the hatchet she marked the spot.
I usually LOVE torchy, lol, but here, idk, doesn’t feel as “raw” or something as 21 felt…. “when she buried the hatchet she marked the spot” wow, love that!
My sister asked for Adele 25 for Xmas gift. She loves “Sweetest Devotion.” I enjoy listening to Adele’s music. She’s evocative, different, a ballad singer extraordinaire.
I think whatever Adele cover David sings (if he choses one that is to cover) would be for the message the song evokes and David wants his fans to experience from his voice, his interpretation. I think it would be pretty samfrantastic to see David and Adele duet…if that happened it would be the yin and yang of all duets for sure!
p.s. The Adele competition is HyStErIcAl. She has a great sense of humor and a good actress to boot.
right?! she seems like she’d be a hoot to hang out with, her cackle slash laugh cracks me up on its own! 🙂
I am probably the only person around who has not heard Adele’s album yet so can’t do the poll yet. 🙂
Interesting how this person became a super fan:

Well, guess I am another individual who has not heard the whole album. I have heard ‘Hello’ but that’s all so far, really. I do love her voice and her humour! The competition video is hilarious! Do love her voice and suppose my fave is still “Someone Like You”. David playing that on piano is so special, would love to hear him sing the whole song. A duet between David and Adele? Well, that would be epic I’m sure. 🙂
I really enjoy Adele’s version of ‘Hello’! But As ever I am also very proud of the singers from Canada, yes they are from Canada and gave the 2015 AMA awards a full blown Canadian flavour.
“Toronto born-R&B singer The Weeknd was declared Favourite Male Artist (soul/R&B), and his album Beauty Behind the Madnessgarnered him the Favorite Album (Soul/R&B) accolade.
Quebec’s Celine Dion paid tribute to Paris, in light of the recent terror attacks, with a rendition of French singer Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à L’Amour.” She brought the house down!
Ottawa native Alanis Morissette took the stage to perform “You Oughta Know,” with Demi Lovato. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Morissette’s breakout album, Jagged Little Pill.
Also boosting the Canadian content was Justin Bieber who, along with artists Skrillex and Diplo, won Collaboration of the Year for their song “Where Are Ü Now.”
Bieber closed the three-hour awards show with a medley of his hits, complete with an on-stage rain shower.”
We have amazing singers! Maybe David could someday sing with Celine! A great many terrific artists have already!

wow, that’s awesome, SB! Now I’m sorry I missed the AMAs!
