In one of Harper Lee’s non-fiction pieces for Vogue magazine, on the topic of love, she wrote:
“Why, when we are familiar with every line, must we stop and listen when ‘The Messiah’ is playing? Because every note was born of a man’s love for God, and we hear it… Every creation of man’s mind that has withstood the buffeting of time was born of love — love of something or someone.”
So go ahead and write and sing what you love, David.
And if you love wearing ties, do that too.
If that means you inspire a legion of tie-wearing cats in the process, like these ones, then I say, go for it!
“David, you inspire me … and clean my litter box, you rock!”
“Elder Katsu, reporting for duty.”
“What?? I got it at a post-Valentine’s Day mark-down sale.”
“We can’t all tie the perfect knot like The Archuleta.”
“What was that? I was distracted by my tail.”
“Collar. Too. Tight.”
“Yes, I know I’m late, blow-drying takes f.o.r.e.v.e.r.”
“Whoah, can’t find my name tag.”
“That hymn touched my soul, dude.”
Can’t say how much I love this post. Sweet words, sweet cats (so incredibly cute) and David…always sweet. All some of my favourite things.
And this… “So go ahead and write and sing what you love, David.” Yes, absolutely. 🙂
Ohhh TOfan, TOfannnn…..lol. Even in your Lenten absence you can make me lauggggh. I’m home and under the weather with some kind of sinus thingy, (ugh)…and through teary, stuffed up head, eyes & throat, this made my morning. As usual, if the pics weren’t enough, it’s your “cat”ptions (ba dum bump! ..hey it’s early and I’m sick!), that are the bomb. I love the “What?? I got it at a post-Vday markdown sale.” Tku. Needed that. 🙂
Gosh TOfan…. Ꮍöu ᏒöçᏦ!!!!
Still fun here I see. ❤
Love how you take care of us while you're doing your own good thing, TOfan.

Love me some cats! Neither of mine are especially enamored of David though; wish I had a song-listening kitty.
One of mine, if you tried to put him in a collar with a tie, would leave you bleeding. The other would just assume the expression of the black one with the Xmas tie. Or he’d bite it (he likes to bite).
Deb is the sweetest for putting up such adorable posts! It must have taken her a week to put them all together.

Thought of you as soon as I saw these cute kitties.
I’m not really a cat person, but they do look great in ties ! ( Like someone else we know and love). Thank you Tofan for keeping us smiling .:)
This just made my night. Too cute….’can’t find my name tag’, lol! Bet David said that a few times. Thanks for the smiles Tofan!
