Wow. If anyone missed the chats tonight, I hope you get a chance to go back and watch them both.
I don’t speak Spanish but I guess I speak “David” (don’t we all? lol) because I actually followed along a lot of the first chat. Maybe not the actual words but his emotions and the genuine love for his mission and how he’s grown and who he is… the whole enchilada (pun intended 🙂 ).
What a beautiful person.
His pure heart and compassion for others, his honesty and love for God shone through like the sun. So proud to be his fan. Sorry I’m not really putting together real sentences but I truly loved every minute.
Cannot imagine him fighting with his companion (would actually buy tickets to see that!) but hey, maybe the guy kept taking the last of those amazing Chilean hot dogs or something.
And three cheers for the new belt! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I felt exactly THAT^^^^^^.
I have an unending swell of love and awe for this remarkable young man. His sincerity that shines through in EVERYthing he is and does. Touches my heart. Speaking and of course singing.
Always straight from his heart. In any language. I get it. Loud and clear.
Speaking of the singing…sounds corny but I recently was trying to describe how his music effects me…it’s like he opened up a new, deeper part of my heart where only his music can get to.
Oh and another random thing (I’m all over the place here but..)…in the Spanish one I felt his joy! Those dimpled chipmunk cheeks said it all. LOL.
I felt his joy more in the Spanish one too, amb4da … and thought the lady moderating that one connected with him more somehow, and brought out more from him.
It seemed to me that he was more relaxed with Spanish when it came to sharing his mission experiences in Chile. Not uncommon. I have seen it many times before with other RM’s, including two of my daughters (Swedish, Mandarin). Lasts a few months. Still, he was bilingually incredible. No guile whatsoever. I loved that!
I haven’t seen the Spanish chat yet but absolutely loved the English chat!! I was actually very emotional watching it…he was so so honest!! Lol…can’t imagine him fighting with his companion but love the fact that he did…brings him down off that pedestal we kinda have him on!! I will rewatch this interview many many times ❤ ❤

I was really impressed w/ David’s chat tonight. He is the same, but even more mature. He is so sincere, and down-to -earth. We all know how calculating and fake entertainers are during their interviews, always wanting to be witty, cool, and edgy. David Archuleta is so talented and so unassuming at the same time. One cannot help but feel his sincerity. I love his voice. Can’t wait for his new songs!
He IS a beautiful soul. The enchantment continues… 😀

I am happy that his sincerity and love for others came through so clearly. He def has a “light” about him that has to come from God. Still, the proselytizing is something I find difficult> sharing the gospel is something I try to do by my lifestyle as well> but would never “measure up” to the Mormon worldview and I am ok with that……….. I need way more grace in my belief system 🙂

Loved watching the live chat, loved hearing about his mission experiences. So heartfelt and sincere and the music, well…another light that shines from him. In many ways he has matured so much in the last couple of years and I was so impressed by his willingness to share so openly and honestly.
Did watch the Spanish chat afterwards and loved it too even if I couldn’t understand the words but could definitely understand his emotion, heart and reverence. “Nearer My God To Thee” in Spanish was an added bonus for me, one of my favourite old hymns and he sang so beautifully!
(Whoever told David he couldn’t go to Church during his busy career times, should have been put in their place, good grief.)
Was a really sweet and inspiring chat. Lots of respect for him. Lots of respect for his decisions.
Will be interesting to see what kind of music is up ahead. One things is pretty certain, it will come from the heart. ❤
Here’s my perspective on the fighting w/companion thing. I CAN imagine David fighting with his companion, although he probably was as kind as possible about it. It’s kinda IMPOSSIBLE to get along great with EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the world all the tome. So, I think probably they may have had personality differences where they just didn’t gel right away. My brother has struggled with a couple companions as well and that’s been a good learning experience. It’s like in college where even if you’re a genuinely kind person you may still have issues with roommates.
