Don’t you love those songs that make you want to jump out of your chair and dance your feet off? “My Hands” did that for me from the first album.
And as far as non-David songs go, my Top 10 would include the original Tears for Fears “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” Whitney’s “I’m Every Woman,” REM’s “Losing My Religion,” Van Morrison’s “Brown-Eyed Girl,” and anything by Michael Jackson.
I would love for David to release a song that made people leap onto the dance floor.
How about you guys? How would you complete this sentence:
I would love for David to release a song that _______________________.
Was a huge hit.
..Makes me want to get up and dance. Let Me Go was a great example and we never got to hear it LIVE
I’m with anonymous~My first thought was “a song that garners him the commercial recognition and respect he has always deserved”, but “a huge hit” is more succinct!
I know it’s a fickle market, and what’s “commercial” now is often not as good as David, so a big part of me loves him going his own way, being artistic, indy, whatever else you can call it. But I just want him getting industry respect on a level he deserves. I’d like him to release “that one” at some point that moves him beyond all the preconceived images some people left behind, of him as the 17 y.o. who David Cook beat on Idol, who sings ballads but doesn’t fit the commercial market, to the versatile artist he is. I believe he will….continue to develop, grow, without selling out, and be noticed by the right people, with a fan-base that hopefully grows organically. But what do I know?! I just want him to get the respect he deserves as an artist.
Beyond that…..I want him also to release a song…in Spanish….along with a cd…..along with a collaboration with Luis Fonsi (like he once mentioned!) ….and any other song his heart desires to sing…because I trust I’ll love it. π (ps. TOfan…”My Hands” remains one of my favorites and still makes me dance!!)
wins a grammy π
I would love for David to release a song that was entirely his from start to finish – one that wasn’t done in a rush and overly produced – a song he truly loved inside and out.
Amen, Janey!
I would love for David to release a song that is used for a high profile movie soundtrack.
All of the above? Any of the above?
I would love for David to release a song that the reviewers all gush, “sets a new standard for talent as opposed to flash.”
This.
….he sang at his first return performance. π
I get to hear on the radio! Happy Birthday Jazzy!
Wins a grammy………… that would work….
…..encompasses all of the above.
That would be awesome.
More than awesome.
It’s how it’s suppose to be.
