These tweets got me wondering … will Idol even exist when David gets back? I haven’t watched since S7 so I won’t miss it, but I wonder how David will feel if it vanishes off the face of the earth. Sad? Relieved?
At least they won’t have him to kick around anymore. I find it interesting that David was on Star Search at age 12 and by the time he appeared on Idol five years later, Star Search was no more. And now, five years after S7, Idol may soon disappear, and once again David will be ready to embark on a fresh new phase of his life and career. Hmmm. Sorry, just typing out loud here, lol.
And WHY have we NEVER seen David’s performance of “Crazy” on Idol???… from everything else we’ve since learned about that manipulative show, I now don’t believe for a second that it had anything to do with acquiring rights for the song. It must’ve been so incredibly brilliant and moving that the producers feared no one else would stand a chance if they aired it. Whatever the reasons, someone somewhere must have that clip and WE NEED TO SEE IT!

About “Crazy”, I have always thought that this first version that he did for a tv show appearence is probably pretty much how he did it on Idol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPqexpesfDw Since then, of course, he has powered it up even more – I am hooked on all the “Crazy” youtubes.

When is he supposed to have performed “Crazy”? Was that when he was wearing that cream-colored shirt? I’ve never seen what he sang then. That was right after his audition and before he sang “Heaven”. All they ever show is the judges praising him but never the singing. Please someone answer…………..
Yes, that’s when, rose… they showed him sitting at the keyboard and the judges raving about his performance but they’ve never shown it.
Didn’t anyone every ask David about that? or the judges? or someone? I thought I was the only one wondering about that.
