I’m adding D’s last tweet to the top of the Tour-re-lu-re-louuuuuurrr!!!! post because THIS is what it’s all about for me, guys. THIS, THIS, THIS!!!! Only David could choke me up and plaster a huge silly grin on my face with 92ish little characters. His joy for creating new music and sharing it with us pops right off the Twitter screen. I don’t care what anyone says, he’s where he’s supposed to be, doing what he’s meant to do and giving us all that he can give … MKOC Tour can’t come fast enough pour moi!!!!!

Short story—–> friend of mine sent me a link to a video from an acapella group who auditioned on “The Sing Off” last night singing Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.” So I had to watch more and went to my “On Demand” on cable and “The Sing Off” was available. Fascinating. Judge Ben Folds says at end of the performance when he is critiquing a group of lead singers who came together to form this acapella group (they had back stories of struggling) that the musician’s journey is about “despair, depression and desperation” and then he said even when you “make it” afterwards it is still about “despair and desperation” but advises them to never give up the journey as the music is worth it. So the takeaway from a guy in the music industry–Ben’s colleagues on the judges panel are Sara Bareilles (what a neat lady) and Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men)–is do it for the music, it is worth it. BTW I am fascinated with Sara Bareilles after seeing this 2nd show. She’s got a big heart and she was in an acapella group in college and also toured after college. She’s deep and quirky. Good sense of self.

Kizzi, love Sara, will have to check it out! I watched a bit of last season and really enjoyed the pure love of music among the groups there. No hiding with acapella … I’ve often thought that’s how A.I. should end the season, with the two finalists singing acapella (kind of full circle from the auditions)… “despair and desperation but it’s worth it” … sounds like what David writes about! 🙂

Very exciting times with “Tour-re-lu-re-louuuuuur!!!!!!” Love, love that. Just thrilled for David and for everyone that will get to see him on this special MKOC tour! Think I will wait for the rest of the tour stops to be posted and then decide if I can make a concert. Have a feeling there won’t be any in the pacific NWest though……but oh I just love David’s joy and I know this will be an epic tour!

Attending the Constitution Fair I now understand why David’s fans are fixated on going to so many of his concerts. His voice is something that can not be explained and should really be listened to live to fully experience what his fans do. His voice really does fill all the empty voids in your heart and especially when you hear the first few melodies come out of David you can’t help but have tears in your eyes. The only reason that David hasn’t gained the popularity that he should have is because of the fact that not many people have really heard him live. He really pours out his soul into each and every song that he sings. I just hope that David will continue in the path that he is in and not stray because of what the music industry wants in singers these days. All I want to say is that everyone should hear him live as much as they could because there’s really nothing like it in this world!! 🙂

Lots of excitement in Davidland!!! Hoping for some midwest dates! Hoping for Canada dates. Maybe David could tour year round and hit all of us. I agree with Victoria et al Nothing like hearing David Archuleta LIVE.

So I see at David’s OS that three more dates have been added to tour! Two in Idaho and another one in Utah. Very happy for the fans in that area but still too far from me I’m afraid. Not sure if any more dates will be added or not, will see.
