How David Archuleta keeps us guessing

Credit: ArchieGabee via Snarkies

Dear friends, I had a eureka moment this evening. An epiphany, if you will. A light bulb went off over my pointy little head and it came to me in a startling flash of light. The source of our obsession, the reason for this madness … the cause of that bittersweet fate we call ODD.

It’s the enigma that is David Archuleta. … no, not the David part, the enigma part. The reason we can’t get enough — music, news, vlogs, tweet-sized crumbs, you name it — is because we are searching, ever-searching to figure out who he really is.

Oh sure, he’s down-to-earth, the real deal, honest, genuine and true blue. He’s all that and a bag of chips. But if those still waters didn’t run as deep as a fjord, few of us would still be here.

We’re here because of that Voice of his, of course. But we’re HERE — fans so ardent that we need a new name for ourselves (I’m partial to aficionado myself) — because of something much less tangible. A country with no map, a puzzle with extra pieces.

He’s as elusive as quicksilver, close enough to touch yet completely out of reach. A simple paradox of bright shadow, tender titanium. An obedient rebel, man-child, soulful geek who’s both pint-sized and 10 feet tall.

Who the heck is this person? That’s what keeps us hanging on to every word, every move, every note. That mystery, that je ne sais quoi that messes with our heads and turns mature, sane, solid citizens into crazed cyber-stalkers.

David says he can’t wait for us to hear his new songs, to get to know him, to feel him through his music. As all great artists do, I bet his new music will answer some of our questions while making our heads spin with so many others … and his beautiful mystery will continue to bewitch, bother and bewilder us. Can. Not. Wait. Can you?

Here are some of the mixed messages he sends our way:

Is he 20something?                                Or 12?

How far will he go to find zero gravity? …   How far will he grow his hair?

What future surprises does he have up his sleeve?

TOfan – What a read, which just stirs up my anxiousness all the more in wanting to hear that new music he is so excited for us to year LOL.

David as president? I don’t think he has it in him to play the political games, BUT he continues to surprise us does he not?

He is crafty too (and not in the musical sense in this instance); he has become secretive??? His tweets are not out of the ordinary – nature inspired, family time love, though no food inspirations lately, and only dribbles of tying up final touches on songs already created. Wonder what it means, if anything.

My brain creates all kinds of possiblities when I am anxious!

  2. SandyBeaches says:

Firstly, I love your article topic.

The fantastic “HABS!!” …I have loved them since grade seven, oh my! Tha Rocket and the Pocket…

I am going to get back here for further enjoyment and comments of the last two articles.

What caught my eye is the 20 something or 12? That is an amazing thought and one that belongs to David…BBL.

  3. YJfanofdavid says:

Tofan, I love the post! I have been thinking the same thoughts. He is a man of contradictions and paradoxes. Thousands of tweets and dozens of logs later, we don’t feel we really know him, do we?
He is both old soul and juvenile. He is sometimes articulate and sometimes tongue-tied . He talks so much but reveals so little. He wears cheap Walmart liner jacket and pricey metrosexual nudie jeans. He seeks orthodontic perfection but lacks vanity otherwise. He is private AND open, innocent AND wise, sophisticated AND naïve, astute AND spacey. As you put it, “his beautiful mystery will continue to bewitch, bother and bewilder us.” Love it!!

  4. Trish says:

Shhhhhh **whispers…. sneaking in from work**

Brilliant !!!!! … and totally spot on !! I FLIPPIN’ LOVE THE PICS HAHAHHAHAAHA especially the Madhatter David one !!!! OMHHHH !!!! Thanks for those !!!

I love how David has gone all ninja … stealth … rogue mode on us !!!! 🙂 Not tweeting and as chatty …. He is up to something … hahaha I can feel it …. think he is cooking up one heck of an album and it’s going to be INCREDIBLE !!!! You could see his excitement on his vlog !!!! 🙂 made me happy to see him excited and smiley !!

I am and will remain patient because most of all I want him to take his time and be happy with it !!!! and we will love it all the more because it will really be from him !!!! Ahhhhh !!!! Excited !!!

    {{hugs}} and thanks again !! 🙂

    **back to work**

    • Trish says:

I meant not tweeting as much … not that he is not tweeting. Sorry I really should read my stuff before hitting the dang submit button 😦

  5. Pabuckie says:

Oh what a great read! Thanks Tofan for this! Loved every second of it!! haha
Yes, David is a mystery we all want to solve!

    Have to agree with YJfan!!
Makes me think of that Miley Cyrus duet!
    “I wanna know you”!!

  6. Angelica says:

“A simple paradox of bright shadow, tender titanium. An obedient rebel, man-child, soulful geek who’s both pint-sized and 10 feet tall.”

Nicely said! That just about sums him up. What’s confusing about that? haha. Oh me.

  7. archiesfan4life says:

TOfan – just stopping by quickly and had to say I just love this part: “turns mature, sane, solid citizens into crazed cyber-stalkers” – LOL! Certainly descibes what he has done to me:).

I want to say hi to everyone and hope you are having a great day!

  8. refnaf says:

Gosh TOfan….”He’s as elusive as quicksilver, close enough to touch yet completely out of reach. A simple paradox of bright shadow, tender titanium. An obedient rebel, man-child, soulful geek who’s both pint-sized and 10 feet tall.”what a description…. **bows** The enigma that is David is what keeps us here in cyberworld, dreaming and speculating on what is to come… I can. not. wait.

  9. SandyBeaches says:

If one thinks about it, could we look one age in pictures and then on another occasion look to be much younger?

    David is a mystery…;)

    SB

  10. TOfan says:

SB, that’s the big question, how does he do that???

I know he’s always had that younger offstage, older on thing going on. But lately I find just when I listen to one interview where I think I’ve figured him out, he’ll tweet or post a vlog and do or say something so unexpected that takes me off guard and leaves me feeling off-balance, like I have to start figuring him out all over again.

Thanks, guys, I’m glad I’m not alone! 😆 And I love all your descriptions: “crafty” (awestruck); “ninja, stealth, rogue” (Trish); “I wanna know you” (pabuckie); and “He is private AND open, innocent AND wise, sophisticated AND naïve, astute AND spacey” (YJ).

  11. SandyBeaches says:

You know that this is the ~~CALM~~ before the storm.

The sites are relatively quiet and David is relatively quiet…sshhh hush, even the cats are quiet…

Be prepared, it won’t be much longer before David’s book is released, then there will be so much to be said. Pictures and tweets from the June 1st book signing will start to pour in from everywhere with added surprises of some sort…his hair, his tan, the extra sparkle in his eyes, oh and his smile!

His new songs are going to be beautiful, breathtaking, I believe that I can start to describe them even before they appear. It is like we are out in the hall somewhere at a Meet & Greet and we almost hear him as he is warming up on stage.

Get lots of sleep because there may be a few late nights coming on. The birds always start singing before a rain or wind storm when the clouds are moving in, so if they start in then hold on tight !!

    SB

  12. abanana77 says:

SandyBeaches – I definitely have the calm before the storm feeling! I feel the storm coming though. Not too long til CoS and man, what a storm that will be (and maybe a surprise storm with single news? I am being optimistic).

Also Obama definitely watched David’s Imagine performance. For sure.

  13. sweetonDA says:

TOfan, had to stop in and tell my Canadian friends how amazing I think your site is. I come everyday to check things out on many of DA’s fansites and yours is one of my favorites. I love the insightful and fun writings here, and the comments make my days a little brighter.

Might be vacationing in BC/Alberta this summer for a bit. Looking forward to it too. It’s so beautiful there. Now, if I only had David’s tour schedule it would make it easier to plan, don’t want to miss any stops close to me 🙂

David is an enigma and that is just fine with me. I love the way he keeps us guessing, but oh how I would love some new music. It will be here soon enough, so I’ll be patient.

I’ve ordered my books, looking forward to reading and hopefully getting a better insight into this amazing young man. He has me so captivated that I just want to follow him 24/7 but alas that will not pay the bills.

Alrighty then, that is my quota of de-lurking remarks for another month or so, lol. Thanks for making so many of my days start and/or end with a smile 🙂

  14. awestruck says:

sweetonDA – if you come Calgary Alberta way I would love to meet you, treat you to a coffee and exchange some David talk… contact me through TOfan at snowangelzcanada@gmail.com if you wish!

  15. TOfan says:

    {{{sweetonDA}}}
When I watched the vid of those clips of David’s homecoming on A.I. and saw those beautiful Utah mountains, it brought back memories of our fun road trip with you, your sis, Refnaf & Knotliser through Murray last winter. *sigh* Are you going to make it to any book signing events???

And btw MissBianca alerted me to the “E is for Enigmatic” page of her cool ABC book for fans on her fun SmileBlog site: You can check it out HERE.

  16. archiesfan4life says:

I wanted to share with you an experience I had last night. How I came to be friends with people from the local LDS church (I had no idea a year ago there even was an LDS church in my area) is a long story that I promised TOfan I would someday write about since it has to do with my following David for these past two plus years. Last night I was invited to join the women at an event they were having. They had an “auction” for donated items – no money was used – you got beads for answering questions (like if you did a good deed that week, etc.) and then you used the beads to bid.

My donation caused a near riot among otherwise reserved women (all ages BTW). I gave a certificate for an autographed copy of COS which I have on order from Bookends. The adults were helping the younger women by sharing their beads if they didn’t have enough and let me tell you there was a feisty bidding war going on!

At the end of the auction the young women all gathered around me asking me about the book signing and David – funny how they all know who to ask about all things David – a Catholic woman old enough to be their grandmother!

    • TOfan says:

Wow, what a great story! (Can’t wait for you to share the rest of it btw! *hints* 🙂 )
I imagine the throngs showing up will blow Bookends away and it sounds as though you just boosted the attendance! LOL

    • awestruck says:

What a sweet and lovely experience! Thank you for sharing-it made my day.

Bookends has NO idea and I can hardly wait to hear/see the tales from this event.

    • refnaf says:

archiesfan4life, love this, thanks for sharing this story…so cute!

  17. Kizzi says:

TOfan – your article is sweeeeeet mind candy, yum.

The comparisons and contrasts make for so many mysteries.

Winston Churchill coined the phrase…a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. And, I always think back to this phrase when I see the many facets David chooses to reveal about himself.

I often wonder in my musings if it is just his natural transparency and simplicity, his “in the moment” interpersonal style, and that tremendous vulnerability curiously pleated with rock solid inner strength that makes him a puzzle to me.

And, having said that, perhaps its just the opposite, no mystery at all. What you see is exactly what it is. And what’s next is the real mystery. 😀

Now here is Mr. K’s theory (which is similar to mine but he claims he came to this hypothesis on his own):

Mr K collected antique Ivory in his teens and early twenties when he was in the Navy and stationed in Guam with trips to Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan….long, long ago he adds, lol.

He has a Chinese Puzzle Ball – which is 20 ivory spheres within each other and carved layer upon layer starting with the inner layer first. It is a highly complex carving process. The outer layer being plants, figures in relief, and, the inner layers have star-shaped or dotted piercing decorations.

The puzzle is to line up all the holes within the 20 balls. Then one can see to the core and light shines through the puzzle ball.

Kinda what we are doing with David, he says…trying to see the “inner” David. He thinks we see that every day without the effort of peeling back or aligning the layers, and that, he concludes, for him, is the mystery…how does one reveal the inner self so effortlessly?

    OK, enough “kizzi-ness” today.

    Have a great day SAz’s. {{{{Hugs}}}}

  18. TOfan says:

Help, I think I’m falling for Mr. Kizzi!!!!

That puzzle ball theory is blowing my mind right now. So is he saying that what we’re seeing is the “inner” David and the paradoxes we see are different facets of that inner self? Or maybe just a reflection of our own inner selves?

Seeing to the core & the light shining through … that def. sounds like David.

P.S. {{{Kizzi}}}, we could never get enough, “kizzi-ness”!

  19. awestruck says:

Ahh Kizzi and Mr. Kizzi – food for thought on top of TOfan’s article.

Will we ever know the inner David? He seems want to share it big time. And isn’t that a most unusual thing for anyone to want to do – especially with the strangers of the world?

Another layer to the puzzle or not? You would HAVE to be rock solid on the inside (entirely sure of who you are) in order to be able to open yourself up to the extent of sharing your ‘inner self’.

I was never very good with the Rubix Cube but this never stopped me from trying. Same with David. The Chinese Puzzle Ball sounds fascinating and what a work of art it must be at the same time. Maybe your avi pic some day? I would love to have a glimpse of it.

  20. awestruck says:

Oops – Also meant to add that I so very much agree with TOfan that we can never have too much kizzi/mr. kizzi – ness

  21. Kizzi says:

TOfan – Mr. K says that we are all paradoxes and that David is just showing who he is in a pure, transparent manner (all his various inner selves are aligned) and that’s what’s unusual. He says we look for ourselves in others naturally as a way of connecting and we also look for in others things that we want to be.

Did I ever tell you before retirement his profession was mental health?

Awestruck – I asked TOfan to post a picture of a Chinese Puzzle ball kinda like Mr K’s. Don’t have a photo of it handy to upload.
    [Edit.]

  22. Joner says:

Boy, you really hit the nail on the head with this article! It is sooooo true!

I have often referred to David as being like a great book. He is a mystery, a suspense, a comedy, a thriller, a romance all rolled into one. He’s a book that I simply can’t put down and I can’t wait to turn the page to see where the story is going to go next and it’s a story that I never want to see end…

  23. TOfan says:

Joner, yes, a great book, lol, so are we like the biggest book club ever? 😆

Speaking of books, ahem, David Burger posted this snippet on the Salt Lake Tribune site:

I talked to David Archuleta briefly today, who has written a memoir called Chords of Strength, which will be released on June 1.

I asked him why someone who is 19 wrote a memoir. He said, “People do memoirs later in life, but I’ve had experiences. I wasn’t born yesterday.”

He said he spent the most time on the spiritual parts of the book, and said writing and distributing his book is like his mission. “It’s very much like a missionary experience for me,” he said.

  24. abanana77 says:

TOfan, I LOVE what David said there. I actually can not wait to read this book. ❤ "He said he spent the most time on the spiritual parts of the book" *dies*

  25. refnaf says:

(((hugs))) to all, love everyones comments and thoughts, you peeps are brilliant!

  26. emmegirl says:

Not much time to post lately, but TOfan love your write-up. Even “enigma” seems inadequate in describing him. Have you noticed how many of these facets shine through even in the pics of him – this aura of gentleness, yet strength… vulnerability, yet total awareness and control.

Love reading everyones thoughts, nothing to add, just alot of head nodding! 🙂 and YJ, loooving your post!

TOfan, “Help, I think I’m falling for Mr. Kizzi!!!!”….
you’ll have to get in line, I have first dibs on him!

    Kizzi and Co 🙂

    Good luck Canadiens!

  27. silverfox says:

Ummm, this is what I think.

But first, Hi Kizzi! It’s me with more meanderings!

The David we see off stage is the “real” David and the David we see on stage is the “performer” David. He’s PERFORMING, like an ACTOR performs on stage. How else can he get into the songs & lyrics about experiences he’s never had? I think he’s brilliant and why I think he can have a brilliant future as an actor if he so chooses. Of course, when he sings the message songs, like POC or Imagine or songs from his CFTH, when he goes into another dimension, or space…there is no “acting” here. That much is obvious.
I think David “prepares” before he goes on stage, like any “performer” does. That he does it better than most other performers is what comes naturally. Like some actors are natural born actors but are still actors nonetheless, David is a natural born stage performer.

I love David’s vlogs because he is REAL on them and it’s great that he is comfortable in his own skin enough to shed the “performer” David and let us see the real him. I think David gives us these vlogs so that we realize the David on stage is the David we pay to see and he want’s it to be money well spent. I love David’s stage persona because he takes me where no other performer has so far in my life. David learned very quickly during his first solo tour what he had to do to get & keep his audiences enraptured, and he learned it very well. He will only get better.

I know I am rambling here as I am known to do. But this is really my impression of David. And I for one am glad he stops “performing” for us off stage. There are too many celebs out there who try to keep their personas off stage until they feel they have no life of their own. When they are so afraid to be themselves for fear they will be exposed as ordinary, so they resort to drugs and alcohol or other self destructive measures just to survive. That will never happen to David. What we see is what we get. He doesn’t have to pretend to be what he isn’t and he won’t. Even he said that.

    OK, I’m done.

    • bluebar says:

SF- No aimless wandering here. Just beautiful and timely thoughts.
The “real” vs. “performer” David could be a chapter in his book!

  28. TOfan says:

    {{{{SF}}}} Ramble away, LOVE it!!!
I think you’re spot on. I think the David I get the clearest picture of is that on-stage, Performer David you describe. The consummate professional, the artist focused 100% on expressing meaning and truth through his music and connecting with each member of the audience.

The off-stage REAL David is the one that keeps me guessing the most. Not that he’s trying to hide anything … I think it’s the opposite … he’s completely real and genuine but — as emmegirl points out — with more facets than the Hope Diamond.

And off-topic, I was looking for something else (no, really! 🙂 ) and came across this 1st interview he did with Showbiz Shelley … priceless, would love to see them do another!

  29. emmegirl says:

SF – really enjoyed your post, “they are so afraid to be themselves for fear they will be exposed as ordinary….with David, what you see if what you get.” Wow, this is so true!

“David learned very quickly during his first solo tour what he had to do to get & keep his audiences enraptured, and he learned it very well.” …… my personal sense is that his stage persona is not in response to any kind of pressure to enrapture an audience, but more about how he feels when he singing and he is simply freely reacting. His passion is so evident regardless of what he is singing.

I can just see him when he was younger, alone in his room, in front of the mirror, singing exactly like he does on stage now, only now with the maturity of a man. I believe it just took him a little while to feel comfortable enough to really open up and express it on stage. Imagine how scary that would be, getting up there, completely immersing yourself in the music, baring it all on stage….. your own unique, personal style of expression….. and wondering how others would react.

One definition of “innate” – Of or produced by the mind rather than learned through experience.

In his Star Search “Falling” his interpretation and consequential vocal expression of some of the phrases in that song I could not believe how a child could “get it,” but he did.

This could be one word that describes him on so many levels – innate musical talent, innate sensibilities, innate sense of right and wrong, innate sense of when to speak and when to just smile, innate sense of what is too much or too little, when to pull in the reins and when to put the pedal to the medal…and on and on.

Innate, instinctive, intuitive….overall, it seems he has a heightened degree of such, and just one more adjective to describe this David Archuleta guy.

(and apologies for a such rambly, inarticulate post.)

    • TOfan says:

*jinx* emme, we must’ve posted at the same time! lol … inarticulate??? the opposite, loved every word. And I think you’re onto something … to innate, instinctive, intuitive, I’d add incomparable & invincible! 🙂

  30. awestruck says:

SF – “There are too many celebs out there who try to keep their personas off stage until they feel they have no life of their own. When they are so afraid to be themselves for fear they will be exposed as ordinary” oh sooo true. David will never ‘loose himself’ this way.

emmie “One definition of “innate” – Of or produced by the mind rather than learned through experience.” yes, yes…

loved your thoughts both of you!

  31. Kizzi says:

SF – Two meanderings in two days…just like old times…be still my heart. Thank you so very much! You have such a beautiful mind. Can’t wait to see you again. xxooxx 😀

Emmegirl & TOfan – I’ve only shared the good about Mr. K. And, according to him there isn’t anything more to tell, lol.

  32. Zoe says:

    Hi Tofan! *waves*

I think I’m going to be sick. I just spent 1-1/2 hours on a response to your brilliant article and when I hit “submit” it disappeared.

So this is just a test to see if I can get something on the page. Will try to reconstruct.

    Sniff, sniff…

  33. Zoe says:

Okay TOfan, let’s try this again. Serves me right for being just an occasional poster and not knowing the routine down pat.

First, I want to say that I have had the pleasure of meeting you on several occasions and as far as I can tell, you DO NOT have a pointy little head. You DO, however, have a beautifully big, brilliant brain, and I am loving every word of your article!

“That mystery, that je ne sais quoi that messes with our heads and turns mature, sane, solid citizens into crazed cyber-stalkers.” Amen sister, I can so relate to those words. My daughter is just a month younger than David, and sometimes it creeps me out that I am following his career like a deranged teenybopper.

I, too, find myself pondering the Great David Divide – as an artist and performer he is a consummate, uber-talented, ageless wonder. I’ve always been a sucker for soulful crooners, and David had me at Shop Around. Since then, as we all know, his performing skills have grown exponentially, and it is a thrill to watch him on stage in all his archusass and splendor.

In his everyday skin, however, when he shares a bit of himself in his tweets and vlogs, it’s the “real” David that has me scratching my head over my ODD. Because in his endearingly charming, unfiltered, unsophisticated manner, it seems he is in some ways much younger than my daughter. And it’s at those times when it can be hard to come to terms with my ODD. After all, I’m not a snarkyarchie youngin… I’m old enough to be his…gulp…very YOUNG grandmother, lol.

Anyway, thanks to Kizzi, SF, Emmegirl and others who posted responses, I now have lots more to chew on as I ponder the many facets of David.

Meanwhile, thank goodness for the internet and all the great admins, posters and contributors who continue to nourish and sustain me. Even though I prefer to mostly lurk, this is the best hobby I’ve ever had. The wonderful world of David has invigorated me… it’s my megavitamin milkshake… and it has MOZ DEF (a la Beebee) refueled my middle-aged depleted serotonin! 🙂

I am so looking forward to FINALLY meeting our beloved at his first booksigning on June 1st! My partner in crime, Archiesfan4life, and I have been planning a roadtrip, and after attending 7 concerts and no M&G’s, I will finally get to see him up close and personal, maybe even experience the ARCHUGAZE, if only for a nanosecond! Hope to meet up with others from the fansites as well.

And perhaps after reading COS, and with the new album in the wings chock full of David’s contributions (and what a HUGE undertaking that’s been…so impressed with this young man’s commitment to his craft), I will gain even more insight into the enigma that is David James Archuleta! 🙂

Whew. I’m exhuasted, and there goes the night! This better post, haha!

  34. Zoe says:

Serves me right for not checking in regularly.
Darn life keeps interrupting my ODD time!

Belated birthday wishes to Refnaf!!!! How’s that darling grandbaby of yours doing?

And TOfan, just peed myself watching the Mother’s Day David/Lupe disco dance! Not nice to pull that kind of stunt on those of us with weak bladders! HYSTERICAL AND OH SO BAAAAD!!

  35. awestruck says:

Zoe – “The wonderful world of David has invigorated me… it’s my megavitamin milkshake… and it has MOZ DEF (a la Beebee) refueled my middle-aged depleted serotonin!” LOLOLOL We should start a club…

  36. Zoe says:

OMG – David’s book promises to be EPIC!!!!

Bebereader was kind enough to copy the back cover of COS on the Voices site:

“After a whole lot of soul-searching I realized that all through my life, it was the act of facing and overcoming my insecurities that has always brought out the best in me. Looking back now I see that I was somehow able to tap into the best parts of myself in those moments when I needed to get through a difficult situation – on or off the stage. It kind of hit me that the most meaningful thing I could do with this book (and my story in general) is to try to inspire people to do the same…There are no hot lights shining in my eyes, no microphone being held up to my face, and no screaming media people barraging me with questions. It’s just you and me.” — David Archuleta

David may not be too prolific a vlogger, but his book promises to be one of depth, insight and reflection. I know it will be inspirational and motivating to anyone who reads it.

I AM SUPER JAZZED FOR COS!!!!!!!!

  37. TOfan says:

    {{{{Zoe}}}}

Loved your posts, all of ’em! 😆

And thanks to you & Bebe for sharing the back cover blurb … this part gave me CHILLS baby CHILLLLLSSSS!

“There are no hot lights shining in my eyes, no microphone being held up to my face, and no screaming media people barraging me with questions. It’s just you and me.” — David Archuleta

  38. abanana77 says:

Guyssss…….. I was trying to stay spoiler free. Hahaha.

But to rationalize it, the back cover of a book is meant to be read before you read the actual book, right?? Hahaha. I refrained from reading the 2 pages and just reread the back cover a bunch of times. And man, I am now so excited for this book. Unreal.

  39. awestruck says:

O.H. M.Y. I just read the back cover too abanana!

“It’s just you and me.” O.H. M.Y. Heck He’s making this way personal. Looking you in the eye, talking to a friend. TOfan you had suggested that this also be published as a talking book. O.H. M.Y H.E.C.K. – let it be so.

Zoe “his book promises to be one of depth, insight and reflection. I know it will be inspirational and motivating to anyone who reads it.” Depth, insight and reflection – I agree 1000%

zoe – a deranged teenybopper (post from 5/15) – I am still laughing at this!

One of the blessings that has come from being turned into this “deranged teenybopper” is now having you as one of my dearest friends.

    Awestruck –

    Hang in there, my friend!

Breathe out, breathe in…just a few more weeks!

I told my hubby that there will be no living with me once I get my hands on this book. I’ll be holed up in a secret place until further notice.
Make sure to feed the kids 😉

Zoe – thanks. My worries are my hubby and our dog LOL.

I hope you two have a great road trip!

ROTFLMBO … You guys are srsly cracking me up, “Signed: Your partner in crime – otherwise known as “road trip!!!” bahahaha

If the whole book is as powerful as that back cover, we could be in big trouble here. Silly me was looking forward to the book but I admit I wasn’t taking it as seriously as, say, new music. But that one blurb jolted me like a king can of Red Bull with a double-espresso chaser! It’s gonna be a life-changer, I can feel it.

awestruck, even if he doesn’t do an audio book, a few readings here and there would be … gahhhh, too intense to think about!!!!

TOfan, I was the same! I was like “Yay book, but I want a single.” Now I am soooo stoked for the book it’s unbelievable. I think I’ll have read it 50 times by the end of the summer!
