Beyond my excitement for David’s upcoming book, more than my extreme anticipation for the new music, comes the calm assurance that David WILL TOUR AGAIN.
Am I safe to say that David live is David in his best element? The voice above all voices … the nuances, the purity, the emotive brilliance, the changeups and runs, the between-song banter … gah, I get giddy just thinking about it. Hearing David perform live is on my life list of things I need to do on a regular basis. It is not optional anymore….
We recently came across this vid that was live-streamed from David’s 2009 Boston Jingle Ball performance (thanks, annalisasinger84!). Sit back and enjoy this mini concert in two parts, keeping in mind how far this boy has come since then!!! Note how dramatically his confidence, stage presence and energy have progressed … no, rocketed, since this pre-solo tour performance!
This only leads me to speculate that what is coming on his next tour will be DYNAMITE.
New music, energized David, performing songs that he can’t wait for us to hear…. I am sooo ready!

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY refnaf today the 10th? My mom and dad’s 61st anniversary.
David sure did a great job making Touch My Hand an opening song “wonderwall of stars… your beautiful faaaaace” there was such a big change from the Idol stage to Jingle Ball re his stage presence. And it only got better and better each subsequent tour!
I wonder what he has in store for us NEXT tour. Yep refnaf, this thought is what is keeping me going right now…

It is really something to watch his early performances and compare them to the CFTH tour, esp. how at ease he’s become with chatting with the audience.
And the first couple of solo shows where he performed ZG clinging to the mike stand throughout the song then just a few shows later was bounding about the stage like a ping pong ball. Remarkable.

As for when this tour will be?? rrrrr. I have decided that I can not wait that long… life is short, so I booked a flight to UTAH!!!!! Whatever he is singing at that book singing I will be there to hear it. I am stunning myself, but going with the flow…. please don’t commit me, but I do feel a little crazy, haha.

ok, so you know how David tweets to promote friends new albums… Carly Smithson tweeted David back “you in ny today” I just left Sirius/xm and they said ur coming in to do an interview?
SO, maybe he will also be launching his new single sometime this week – Z100 maybe ?!?!?!?! Can you tell I am a wee bit anxious?

refnaf – good news. Snarky’s is reporting that David will sing… the publisher just asked that the mention of the performance be removed from the book signing ad to put the emphasis on the book.
