Thanks for the chance to comment beyond tweet size. I was online last night at midnight MDT to listen to this new song and was blown away. The word “awesome” is overused, but I’m calling it: AWESOME!
It was the middle of the night. I didn’t even know what to think, or say, or how to react when I needed to share with friends who were already asleep. I don’t know how many times I listened to it before I finally went to bed and gave that amazing earworm a rest. Back at it this morning; and thanks to the posted lyrics, I am now a backup singer.
This is an everything song, and I love everything about it—tempo, lyrics, that voice, the melody, the hesitation syncopation, going up the scale and down the scale. It has a vibe and it has a mood. It is bouncy and it is smooth. You can dance to it and you can swoon to it. Or you can just listen over and over and feel blessed to be a David Archuleta fan.

I often think back to the time when David thought of not continuing on with music and how he went to that writing session in Nashville where Numb was born. We owe Trent Dabbs and producer Jamie Kenney so much! That session was in 2014 and here we are in 2021 and there is no doubt David has found a way to sing his truth with this song cutting straight to the heart. David has shared something really important with his latest “baby.”
