Wow. Hit me hard all over again… tears as soon as David looks up and starts singing.
It’s now over 6 million views! Not surprised in the least.
I dare anyone not to get hypnotized and mesmerized by it.
The only thing I’d change would be for David to sing the whole thing. Otherwise, it’s perfect. 🙂
How about you guys?? Now that some time’s gone by, what are your thoughts on it?

Yes, I would love David to sing the whole thing solo, but, I also very much enjoy the duet. I love both their voices and I love how tuned into each other they are and how their voices blend. The whole thing is just beautiful; the song, the musicians in the background, the simple setting. Love it so much.

“The first line alone is perfect”…I still catch my breath at this line and then I’m hooked!! From that first glance at the camera, I’m a goner 😍. I’ve literally played this on repeat all day…and I may or may not keep hitting restart when David finishes his solo part 😉🙋🏻♀️😘🤷🏻♀️

I could claim that Anonymous was me because those are my sentiments exactly and hitting restart is what I do the moment he finishes his solo. And I want him to sing the whole darn song by himself!

It really is a song you can play again and again, I still do that. Love everything about it too. It would definitely be beautiful as well if David did the whole song solo (and even more mesmerizing) but love the duet too. Do love that David starts the song, that sweet voice draws you right in.
So well done and have to say that the two of them have joined forces in a lovely way.

A gorgeous duet. Like everyone I’d like to see David do the whole thing–or even do it with a pop singer whose style is more like his. Outside of Christmas grandeur, I’m with Ref on Nathan’s voice. He seems like a really nice man, though.
Any idea why David’s 2 works with Nathan have gotten so many more views than the solo videos from either of them? It’s not just simple addition, they have way more views!

I think one reason David’s part is so powerful is because he is singing straight into the camera, always. If the camera is close he is right there and he find it when it moves farther out. He is singing to me! He obviously knows how to put us right in “the palm of his hand”, where I might add is a very nice spot.

I think perhaps the reason David and Nathan’s duets get so many views, rather quickly, is because they cover well known, popular songs. That and the fact that it is somewhat unique (and they are beautiful songs as well). My guess anyway. Of course David has released some amazing music on his own, deserving as many views. In time, over time…..:!

It is simply beautiful. And it seems to have a special meaning to David which infuses his voice with a tenderness that is both palpable and divine….from my humble perspective, that is. Plus David’s voice and a cello… well they are kissing cousins everytime I hear them together. Incroyable!
Kizzi, i couldn’t agree more with your comment about D’s voice and a cello! To me they both have the same smooth, buttery tone. Yummylicious.

David’s voice, in my opinion, produces theta brain waves just like cello music.
Theta brain waves are considered the subconscious; they govern the part of our mind that lies between the conscious and the unconscious and retain memories and feelings. Also direct our beliefs and our behavior.
Theta waves are always creative, characterized by feelings of inspiration and very spiritual.
It has taken me a while to figure out why I am so enchanted with David’s music beyond the beauty of it….it just resonates, inspires, and calms my soul.

omigosh, came back from vaca to those pics & David’s insta story singing… wowza! I saw James Bay on SNL a few weeks back and was picturing David singing his songs! Yes!!!
