    What a wonderful, warm welcome for David! Yes, he was definitely greeted with a lot of love, awesome fans in Peru. He was swarmed, lol. Loved watching the interviews, even though in Spanish. Some great acoustic songs too. Do like how David pronounces his name with a Spanish accent in the interview. 🙂
    What a fabulous concert it will be tomorrow!

    Why do I sit for over half an hour and listen to David speak Spanish, not understanding a bit of it?!? (I really don’t like it when they are laughing and I don’t know why :/ ) And, I’m sitting with a grin on my face to see him doing something so joyful to him. He looks so relaxed and happy! And soooo animated!! Love this guy that wears his cap backwards and throws me to the floor with the way he looks!!

    No Brady!?! 😦

    Oh, and that dark blue background? Yeah!! Looks good on him!!!!

    I love when David gets swarmed in an airport by excited fans! He looks so happy. Love all the videos that have been coming out of Peru. I saw that Chad is there, but no Brady. He probably stayed home because of the new baby. I think the concert tomorrow is going to be awesome. I’m hoping for lots of vids.

    Sad that tons of fans were waiting at a big autograph signing event at a Lima mall but apparently no one told David or Kari about it and he was busy in interviews and then rehearsals all day.     I remember years ago when David made an appearance at a Spanish event (can’t recall which event it was) but he brought his Mom along to translate in case he didn’t understand some of the Spanish spoken at the event. He wasn’t fluent in Spanish then, like so many young people brought up by Spanish speaking parents in the US. His time in Chile helped him become fluent in Spanish which has made those who share his Spanish heritage and language admire him even more because he embraces his ethnicity and culture. When he shows his salsa moves on stage, I’m betting they will go wild! They may need extinguishers to put out the fire!

    I was surprised, although I shouldn’t have been, at how fluent in Spanish he is now and how relaxed and confident he was in the Peruvian interviews. But at this point, everything David does is like seeing him for the first time way back in 2008 when he blew my mind with “Shop Around” and then when he sang “Imagine” and I was absolutely floored (literally) and dumbfounded! Back then on AI, after every performance I knew he was special. We all did. Now he’s not only special, he’s extraordinary.

    I have to share this. I have a beautiful great-granddaughter I take to pre-school every morning. The first time I played David’s CD, she asked me to re-play “Cracks In Heaven”. For some reason, she fell in love with this particular song. She asked about who was singing. I told her David Archuleta and I showed her a picture of him. She calls the song “David’s song” and every morning she wants to listen to it over & over. She gets this dreamy look and sways to the music. There’s something in the music and lyrics that resonate with her. She sings along to it now so I asked her why she likes the song so much that she doesn’t tire of it. She said she can “feel him in the music”. (This is a 4 year old!) I told her she was right, you can “feel him” in his music. Out of the mouths of babes comes truth.

    What a wonderful time in Lima, great concert, great crowd, lots of love. Trying to catch up on everything! Looks like David is having a terrific time. Awesome fans for sharing with the rest of the world fandom. David’s Spanish songs are beautiful, he obviously came well prepared. I am so looking forward to a Spanish album, you really don;t need to understand the language, when it comes to David. The voice and the feeling speak volumes.
