.
I remember when David talked about this in his FB Live… that he liked Stephanie Mabey’s cousin’s animation for her Zombie video and decided to have them do a lyric video for Invincible.
There’s something about the little soldier character… fighting the good fight… that tugs at my heart. And so David. Not much of a stretch, I know, lol. And the boots are A++++. π
Do wish they’d given him a nose though. π
(tbh, I’ve been listening to Leo so much, I kind of forgot about Invincible. oops.)
So what do you guys think??
p.s.
Canadian content, wooot! David & his cousin Vanessa singing Alanis Morrisette at karaoke!
p.p.s.
thought this was a cool exchange in the comments on David’s IG post about the police officer helping the girl fix her bike (thanks, Janey, for the heads up)… such a respectful convo, a rare occurrence on social media these days, lol

UPDATE!!!
Run don’t walk to take a look at the revamped OS! Looks amazing! Not gonna lie, kinda wish this pic was the album cover. π π π
I like it. I like it!! I really, really do like it!!! π
love, love, love the vid – one thousand million per cent! i could use a t shirt with the last image.
i’d like to add that i don’t think i’ve ever heard david more eloquent than in his response to the IG comment. it was carefully thought out and somewhat brilliant. “be the difference” how simple, yet so profound. i’m going to try to remember that.
agreed! and that he took the time to respond back so nicely to the poster’s thoughtful response… he sure is a study in building bridges.
Of course I love the lyric video for “Invincible”. I’m glad he decided to have this video made because the lyrics to “Invincible” really hit home to me and many others I’m sure. This is one of my favorites of David’s new songs.
I love it too, Grammyj… and I don’t see the point of a lot of lyric vids, but for any of David’s songs, really, where the words really mean so much, it has such an impact on me to read them through.
kudos to the OS folks. someone is def on the ball over there.
yes!!! just added it to the end of the post, thanks for the heads up, J…. looking real good!
WOAH !! That picture !!! I really like the invincible lyric video . 1) The drawings fit well with the children’s choir background music. 2) The images illustrate metaphorically what David has been struggling with. 3) overcoming fears is something we all have in common, but I think David is particularly reaching out to young people like himself, and younger, who have so much to offer in life but just need to find the courage to move forward. Did I mention the new picture ???
totally agree with all 3, oliveoil!
Sidenote: I’d never heard of this 11:11 thing David mentioned in his IG post about the girl getting her bike fixed by the policeman… anyone know what that’s all about??
At 11:11 am or pm, you’re supposed to make a wish. Kind of like blowing out birthday candles. π
That picture on his official site looks like the grown up version of his first album cover, serious but with attitude David.
Agree with all the comments here and David’s lyric video is just right I think, for that wonderful song. Love the little soldier character too! David always seems to choose his words carefully and wisely when he replies to people, yep, he’s a wise young man.
Love the new site look too, perfect new picture. π
Davie surely has become an eloquent writer π Thanks for sharing this TOfan as I don’t ‘do’ facebook or instagram.
Now, back to watch the video…
TOfan, not sure what the 11:11 time could mean to David exactly but for many people, seeing repetitive numbers as in 1:11, 11:11, 3:33, 4:44 etc. can mean something either auspicious, significant in some way for personal revelation or recognition of something meaningful at that particular time.
I know sometimes when I wake up at a time when the numbers are repetitive on the clock it always make me think and take notice (before going to back to sleep that is). Everything has a purpose I think, including numbers. It’s interesting at the very least. π
Interesting! Thanks, Pepp, hadnβt heard of that… I lead a sheltered life, lol.
Oh, and this made me LOL:
