@DavidArchie album cover leak! (not really)

Seriously though, David is magic. And I have proof.

This morning, I was late to work but when his BSMS came on my iPod, I had to sit on a bench in the lobby of our building (which happens to be the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation headquarters), because I needed to hear it.

Then, I looked up and saw the one and only Mr. Gregory Porter at the security desk.

Okay, you’re probably saying “Who the heck is that?”

Well, he just happens to be one of the best singers out there and I’m going to his concert tonight at the Toronto Jazz Festival.

Normally, I would be too shy to say anything but I was so happy to see him and I still had David ringing in my ears, so I walked over, said “Excuse me, I just wanted to tell you that I love your music and I’m going to your concert tonight.” Then off I went to wait for my elevator.

Here’s a sample…

Gregory Porter. I’ll have to remember that name. I’m so proud of you for having that little conversation with him. A “seize the day” moment! And thank you for introducing his music to me. I love it!

you are most welcome, Nan! Isn’t he awesome?! The concert last night was soooo good… and he totally waved at me when he was leaving, hahahaha.

Never heard of Gregory Porter! Thank you TOfan for introducing him & his story to me, I enjoyed it very much!
It still amazes me that David can sport full “flight gear” & look like THAT! (For sure when he is 40, he’ll still look 20!) He is “magic”, indeed…

Such a great photo of David….I want to say adorable even though he may not want to be called adorable at 25, ha……can’t help it though.
Not familiar with Gregory Porter either but he sure has a great sound and love his story. Thanks for sharing TOfan, glad you had a great time at the concert and glad he waved at you!
Music has a wonderful inspiring and healing quality which certain artists can deliver so well, as we all know. πŸ™‚
