If I ever have a bad day (like possibly tomorrow), I will go back and look at this picture. It’s all kinds of win. I swear there’s a twinkle in both David’s eye AND the gorilla’s. The thought of him hanging out in the cold with a hairy gorilla until someone made their way over to find him and the tickets KEELS me.
Did he try his hat on the gorilla for size? Have a long chat about the deliciousness of bananas? Ask if he was offended by the movie King Kong? Offer to groom fleas out of his fur? Cover a few Adele songs that we’ll never get to hear, but defo made the gorilla’s day? The mind boggles. And then there’s this, also:
I swear the gorilla’s smiling in this one. Because he got his own hashtag, no doubt. That be my dream, let me tell you. Guess I’ll either have to get a tollbooth job or get myself a gorilla suit. Don’t think I won’t do both at the same time, my friends. And such an awesome plug for Jean’s Sew and Vac… I hope he got a deal on a Dyson!

David must have a soft spot for gorillas. Didn’t he do a Vlog with a gorilla mask in his closet? I miss his vlogs but now we get Instagram pictures. Thanks for the laugh.
Also I was just thinking that we have David before a concert in his Vocal Point cap standing by a gorilla, but in a short time he will morph into a gorgeous, talented styling singer. Bit is always such a contrast!
So true Grammyj, David morphs so well! Amazing, isn’t it? Such a funny post TOfan, had to laugh out loud. Wonder if this is the same gorilla costume that David used in his Halloween message a while back (I think it was around Halloween). Actually this Gorilla face looks a little different to me, could be a relative though (of the Gorilla). 🙂
Really looking forward to tonight, even though I am not there. Would so love to be at one of his Christmas shows. My gosh, David’s beautiful O Holy Night never ceases to amaze me, always a fave of mine. Just nothing like it!

I’m crossing my fingers that now he has joined “fullscreen” which appears to be a service to help the artist with you-tube content means that David will make vlogs again and music videos. The success of “The Prayer” video should encourage him to do more. Nathan is already making another video per a tweet from him a few days ago.

So I pick up my sister from work today and she says our friend Robert was telling her about this song he had heard, the prayer. He had heard it before and thought it was ok, but he doesn’t really like men’s voices. He said there were two guys singing, one was Nathan Pacheco and the other guy was David Archuleta. He wasn’t really gone on Nathan’s voice but wow could David ever sing. He loved it. He asked her if she knew who David was and she said , oh yeah, my sister loves him. We had to undecorate our Christmas tree today because we found out the new lights we had bought this year were recalled, so just hearing someone else acknowledge what a great singer David is made the day a little better.
That is so cool, Moelita! Love hearing that! Especially from a guy. Actually, I’ve seen tons of tweets and comments from guys about the video. It’s really affecting people… another “Imagine” moment (albeit on a smaller scale).
I’m still gobsmacked that my sister-in-law not only “liked” the video when I posted it on FB but must have googled David, found one of those blog articles about the video and posted that herself, saying “Absolutely breathtaking”! 😯
The response to the Prayer has been wonderful. David acknowledged that so nicely in his thank you video. It’s the most beautiful version I have heard (of course it helps I suppose that I am a huge Archuleta fan, ha) but have also seen comments from so many others who are so taken with this beautiful rendition. Love some of the comments on facebook, twitter or youtube. It is so nice when friends, relatives find it “breathtaking” or are just so impressed with it. Love to hear stories like Moelita’s or about your sister-in-law TOfan. Really feel good stories!
I am still gobsmacked not only by the Prayer but everything I have heard on the latest videos (big thanks to the fans who provide us with these delights) and thanks for posting them TOfan.
