Oh my, what a sweet gift! Just got my notice from Itunes that “The Prayer” had been downloaded.
So beautiful to listen too! David still has that sweet, tender yet powerful voice that there is never any mistaking and Nathan sounds wonderful, a superb duet. So nice to have a clear, lovely version of this song by the two of them. A wonderful Christmas gift and I know what I will be listening to on repeat on my way to work tomorrow riding transit. In fact back to listening now!

It’s a night of gifts! Pledgemusic download came right after Itunes. Riu, Riu, Chiu! I am assuming most folks have heard this now, hope so. I am absolutely loving the acoustic version. Must listen again and absorb the rhythm, the natural flow and the beauty of it. I have always loved David, acoustic style and this sounds fabulous to me. Grateful. 🙂

What I love most (besides the fact that David has the lead, which I was worried about lol) is what David’s done with the melody line… oh em gee just brilliant and so HIM, you know? Such a soulful take on what can be (to me) a yawn of a song (sorry Celine/Josh/Andrea fans). Played it for my hubs who said he needs to hear it again. ME TOO! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Love Riu Riu Chiu, the little eh eh he does at the start and the kind of scatting! He can do acoustic always as far as I’m concerned. I enjoy the purity of his voice.

I think I might like Riu Riu Chiu even more than The Prayer *hides* … it was my fave from the beginning on CFTH and just love what he does with it… also think acoustic David might be my favourite. Riuuuuu ChiuuuuuuuUuuUUUUuuuu

The tone of David’s voice is so beautiful. Great job by both artists. Just one question. At the end of the song is David doing the continuous note or is he doing the other part where there is a gradual rise in tone? Either part is beautiful, I just couldn’t figure out who is singing which part.
I think the voice drifting up is David’s … oh man, does that mean I have to listen to it again to check? 😉

I kinda sorta noticed that, too, and hesitated mentioning because I was worried about sounding like I’m never satisfied. And it was a very satisfying package (even though the desktop wallpaper is kinda…well, let’s just say it didn’t replace my favorite).
Sorry to spam but something incredible just happened…. after I shared The Prayer video on FB, I was kind of surprised when my sister-in-law “liked” it… she rarely likes any of my posts, for one lol… And secondly, she loves to tease me about being a David fan. WELL… she just posted a whole separate article that features the video (ddidn’t just repost mine), saying “Absolutely breathtaking”,,,, knock me over with a feather… The Power of the Archuleta” 🙂 🙂 🙂
