I’m keeping my expectations low for the upcoming shows (my usual strategy)… so even if it’s just David a cappella doing nothing but Miley Cyrus covers, I’ll deal. But these options would be nice too 🙂 :
#1 choice: All brand new stuff… totally never-before-heard, fresh-out-of-the-writing-oven songs that leave the entire crowd gasping for air.
#2 choice: Mostly new, sprinkled with some Nunca Pense, Broken, Pride, True Colours, He Showed Me How, EWTRTW, My Hands and Elevator (‘natch), with an encore of David at the piano covering that Someone Like You he’s teased us with.
All other choices: Who’s kidding who, he literally could sing the phone book and yes, I would download Abrra’s mp3s of same.
So how about you guys??! What would you most like to hear??!

3) Since it has become a thing with others, I say that David calls someone onstage for a surprise
duet and it is Adele and they sing Someone Like You and it is amazing and everything we
think it could be and the world finds out and sees it and then…crazy good things.

All of the above mentioned TOfan and pretty much anything else, would be a treat! Back on stage, doing his own concerts again….whatever he delivers I think will be pretty wonderful. I won’t be fortunate enough to be at one of the upcoming shows, will sure take any tidbits that might come up with gratitude.
I would love for David to sing Good Place/Let It be, mastered to his liking at the piano. Any new songs will be a special treat (or anything else he sings really).

YES!!! I was actually thinking wouldn’t it be awesome if the show opened with the curtain rising revealing David at the piano playing Good Place/LIB … so we could all burst into tears when he sang:

I think David is going to blow us away when he gets back on stage. I’m hoping for a great mix of songs from some upbeat songs where he can dance and jump to the ballads where he holds those glory notes and make us cry. I’m really looking forward to the new songs to see the direction his music will be taking. It’s getting closer now, closer now…..

I tweeted sometime back that I would like David to sing “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue-sy.” I’ll stick with that, knowing it covers the gamut; but I have to say, I am loving the suggestions here. Whew! Can’t wait!
Gosh, I was thinking maybe Tell Me? Then a whole slew of others came to mind. Then I figured I would be typing forever. So then my final answer is: I just NEED to hear/see him on that stage again! He can sing whatever he wants to coz’ I KNOW he will choose exactly what I want/need to hear! He is smart like that. Perfectionist, if you will…LOL! Can’t wait! Yep, pretty sure BEGIN songs will be on his set list. Kari also tweeted using BEGIN in her tweet. I have been lobbying for his BEGIN Again tour since shortly before he came back from his mission. He is finally going to do it!

FYI – for anyone who doesn’t know David’s OS has been updated with new pictures from his Nashville photo shoot. I like the pictures and am glad the site has been updated. Now someone needs to update his store with new merch and remove the old stuff from his initial tour. Also, bring on the new album!
