FOD has posted a beautiful tribute to @jenleighbarry HERE. I can’t possibly add anything but I did want to say how sad I feel about her sudden passing… much too young… and, from all accounts, at the hands of an impaired driver.
I’ve been a long supporter of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and will make another donation today in Jen’s memory. I’m sure every one of us knows someone who’s been affected by these senseless crimes… yes, crimes. MADD campaigns to stop impaired driving from happening, to raise awareness of the issue while providing support for victims and their families.
This tragedy reminds me of all the wonderful people I’ve met just by being a fan of an incredibly gifted singer. Some I’ve never met in person (like Jen), while others have become true friends. I’m grateful for that more than words can say.
I plan to try harder not to take this gift for granted, to show extra kindness and be thankful for every single blessing.

I follow Jen on Instagram and when she’d post her sports action shots, I usually did a double-take realizing they were her photos, not regrams from professional sports photographers… sad thing is, I never told her that.

An especially gifted and talented lady… though I never met Jennifer I always admired her photography immensely… and TOfan, I too never told her. I came across a plaque with a saying on it that helps me live ‘in the moment’ – for you never know when it may be your last. “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory”

Thanks for the lovely post TOfan, such a beautiful picture of Jen and her sweet son. Bless her heart, Thankful for all she shared and gave. I remember her sending me an extra beautiful photo, so thoughtful of her, as she was with so many. My heart goes out to her husband, son and those who knew and loved her. Always so good to count your blessings and appreciate all those who make a difference in your lives, every day.
