Me gusta @DavidArchie’s Nunca Pense

So this was the song I wanted to hear most after my 40 days/40 nights away from all things David.

And I’ve pretty much had it on repeat ever since. Just love the feel and melody of itโ€ฆ oh, and the guy singing sounds pretty good too. ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe this is old news, but I hadn’t seen this version of the videoโ€ฆ was it released somewhere?? Sound quality is aMAZing! And I was so sure it would’ve been released on iTunes by the time I got backโ€ฆ hoping for more Spanish songs at some point, just sounds so RIGHT for him, you know?

Download mp3 HERE.

Also love the live version:

To be honest, I’m more a fan of this style than his Broadway-ish stuff (like “He Lives in You,” as lovely as that was)โ€ฆ what do you guys think?

p.s.
Wanted to share this great song by Canadian-Cuban Grammy winner Alex Cuba and the legendary Ron Sexsmith. Enjoy, mi amigos!

Thanks for posting the actual Nunca Pense video. I’ve only seen the video a fan took of the video at the conference. I’m a very eclectic music lover so I actually really like Nunca Pense and probably equally like “He Lives in Me”. I’m also a fan of “Glorious”. I probably like most everything David sings except “Dream Sky High” and some fans have indicated that is one of their favorite songs. David sounds good singing it but it’s just not a song that I like. Music is very subjective. I can’t wait to hear some of the other new songs David has written. Hurry up, David and release more music!

I’m with you on DSH, GrammyJ *hides* … you’re so right though, music is very subjective… there are definitely songs of his I love even though I’m in the minority (*cough*Elevator*cough* and I’ve been listening to Reaching Out again) and others I’ve never warmed to, even though they’re hugely popular (SBL, Wait, that blueberry ice one). And then some are just “okay” for me (as Randy used to say ๐Ÿ™‚ )… I’d put Glorious and He Lives in Me in that group. But love almost everything on TOSOD (including the extras LDH & Notice Me, sooooo good!). And maybe on the top of my all-time list is O Ven, every version! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m with the two of you on DSH. It never has really reached out and touched me. I’m glad to know that I’m not alone in that one. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love, love, love Nunca Pense even though I don’t understand it.

WOW, I love the quality of this video. It looks and sounds great. I really love the song too,and its actually one that he wrote. It would be nice if the video could be edited for a general audience as well. Just sayin’. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • TOfan says:

It’s a slightly different video from the one they showed at RootsTech, has a couple of extra shots added in (but the song is exactly the same ๐Ÿ™‚ ) … no idea what this one is for (or what the other one was for, for that matter, lol), I just stumbled upon a link to it on Twitter.

So many mysteries where David’s concerned… part of what keeps us coming back for more, I guess. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. oliveoil says:

I think this one was specifically to be shown to LDS Latino youth. The other one was missing some of the scenes. And I do agree that David is kind of mysterious. haha

Well, I like a little mystery, so mysterious can be a good thing too! Love Nunca Pense, good song, good video. David really gets into those Spanish numbers, love it. Hope we will hear more (even though I understand very little Spanish)…doesn’t seem to matter. Nice video, song TOfan “Half A Chance”….good sound.
I like just about anything David sings (it’s that voice and energy that gets to me) although like other people, some songs are definitely more my favourites.
Looking forward to hearing David’s new sound (new album). Will be interesting to see what emerges from his kind of “new found freedom”. It will be “his thing” for sure. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks to the lovely Taterzen for the heads up on this article … the former U.S. Ambassador to Malta who spoke at the symposium before David had some great things to say about him:
