David,
I love the written blogs! You write from the heart, openly and honestly and it comes through, and never more than this one. This blog really struck me. I so appreciate the respect you’ve shown us here by opening up and expressing yourself, in an effort to be understood and accepted, authentically. And though you feel this is new for you, to me it comes as no surprise because it’s seems like who you’ve always been at heart. I hope you feel from the tremendous outpouring here, how much you are truly cared about by those of us who just know you through your music. Just be you, David. Your introverted nature is what feeds your art; take the time and space you need– to be, feel, reflect and express yourself how & when you feel comfortable. The fact that you have this self-awareness and the courage to honor it, at such a young age, is admirable and will serve you well. You’ve experienced so much, so fast, since emerging on Idol, in an industry where it’s tough to balance real life with celebrity. Tough to be a human-being when you’re also “the product” for sale. I can only imagine how it was for you; but still want to say, your authenticity came through too. I continue to have the utmost respect and admiration for how you handle yourself as a human being and with others. Do what you need to do and live your life, fully, happily. Some things remain constant. I still see the uniquely, (insanely!) talented guy who bowled me over on Idol, with a musical soul and voice like no other. I am forever rooting for that guy! I trust your personal and musical instincts implicitly. I know music will come…it’s in you. I know I will love you singing it! And the truer you are to yourself the better it will be for you and your fans. I look forward to whatever you may want to share with us, whenever. Peace. I just love your openness, honesty, and vulnerability in this post, and I can so relate to the feelings you expressed. Way to embrace just being YOU. Ironically, I think that’s what brings the attention you’re not even seeking… we all just love you for your humility and sincerity! I was a young newbie in MoTab when you were the guest artist at our Christmas concert, and you won over the whole choir just by being yourself. Keep it up. 🙂
Good comment from the choir member. So true, David just being himself will draw attention because of the nature of who he is…not to mention that voice, always real.

Don’t know how I missed the comment from amb4da that was brought over. Very beautifully expressed and well put, right on the money I think. I completely agree with those well stated words and the sentiment put in to them. It’s nice to see many heart felt responses to David’s hear felt blog.
Looking forward to David’s future expression through his craft. His heart and soul were always there. Will just be doing things his way, good for him.
