Hey guys, it’s Captain David here. Fasten your seat belts for some turbulence in 2014. You’ll need parachutes in your airplanes and gravol for zero gravity conditions.
Won’t make you promises or give you lies but hold on, don’t let go.
In three-ish months, 0-800 hours, we will touch down and we’ll need all hands on deck for maximum preparedness… don’t look down ’cause this is real.
Fill oxygen tanks to take lots of deep breaths because the landing strip may drag on for months. We see a storm headed our way… you know the cold can make things delay.
Not to worry, the air is pure that we’re breathing… up here gives you wings to stay strong.
It’s an endless ride, sometimes it takes you up, sometimes it tears you down inside. But it’s the butterflies that keep you feeling so alive.
Just disco with the flow until your feet are back on the ground.
So hang on, hang in for the ride of your life. It’ll be alright.
I know things are gonna get better … ’cause it’s a good place.

To be honest (and this comes from the person who wrote a whole Great Expectations post on this topic waaaay back), I think David tunes out any demands we make and has a remarkable ability to follow his own heart and more influential voices than ours (*points to clouds*) … I might not have thought that before his mission decision but I sure do now, lol. That being said, yes please, David take all the time and space you need… one thing those of us still here after two years share is patience! 🙂

We know you’ll take us back SOWK and our Broken hearts will once more CEM and it will be Beautiful again. There won’t be anymore Barriers. By the way, Christmas has passed but I still listen to D’s wonderful Christmas music. As a matter of fact, the B.C. Legislature TV station here has adjourned over the holidays and so they have been playing Christmas music for weeks now (still are) and they play David’s Christmas album, the whole album. Have heard every song. Yes, they do play David’s music in Canada….albeit from strange sources at times but hey, I’ll take it. (Still watching….or listening to that station just to hear D’s music played). Oh the little things in life give me such pleasure. 🙂
