Won’t you be… my neighbour, @DavidArchie

MrRogers

MrRogersIt’s a beautiful day in this neighbourhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbour,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
It’s a neighbourly day in this beautywood,
A neighbourly day for a beauty,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
I have always wanted to have a neighbour just like you,
I’ve always wanted to live in a neighbourhood with you.So let’s make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we’re together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won’t you be my neighbour?Won’t you please,
Won’t you please,
Please won’t you be my neighbour?

That is all.

p.s.
Thank you, David Archuleta, for once again making my day.
p.p.s.
Seriously though, wouldn’t D. be the best neighbour ever??? He’d rake your leaves, plant trees, take care of your leftovers… although your heating bills would go WAAAY up because you’d be leaving your windows open all year in the hopes of hearing him sing. *TOTALLY WORTH IT*
p.p.s.s.
bringing this over from the end of the last thread, from peppertara. Thx. pepp!
“perhaps I am the only CDN fan who missed this short little interview back in 2008, with a Vancouver radio station. How on earth I missed this one, I have no idea. Came across it by accident really. If anyone else missed it here is the link if interested. D’s answers are so cute and humorous, especially to the silly question asked by the DJ. Sorry if it is old, old news for others. I’m not always ‘up’ on things, obviously. :)http://archuletamusic.wordpress.com/2008/11/21/david-archuletas-crave-95-interview/ ”

Nice TOfan! David and Mr. Rogers are “bread and butter,” “soup and sandwich,” “horse and carriage,” and/or “peas and carrots” in many ways. 😀

There are so many facets of Mr. @DavidAchie. A good friend is definitely in the top.

Thanks Ms. TOfan for keeping the faith. You r.o.c.k!

I was remembering the interview of David with ShowBiz Shelly just now when talking about friends in David’s showbiz world. She is someone else he connected with in a good friend way.

Also, Jim Cantiello is also in that category. I remember his column the day after the AI Finale…insightful, much!!!….http://newsroom.mtv.com/2008/05/27/having-survived-idol-jim-can-now-finally-reveal-the-truth-david-archuleta-is-not-who-you-think/

Much love, hugs and air kisses to all at SAz. I think of all of you frequently and miss the road trips and squeeeeeee’ing, etc. Soon we will be back in that zone. Miss y’all!

It really is a beautiful day in the neighborhood, gorgeous weather. This post just adds to it and is full of smiles. Hadn’t seem the pic of David in that shirt, sweet. David would absolutely make a fine neighbour. Love this: “He’d rake your leaves, plant trees, take care of your leftovers… although your heating bills would go WAAAY up because you’d be leaving your windows open all year in the hopes of hearing him sing. *TOTALLY WORTH IT*
“Take care of your leftovers” LOL
Enjoyed the link to Jim C again, however I did not think that David acted like an 11 yr old on the show as some did, only a somewhat shy but sweet and thoughtful teen. 🙂
    Love the “neighbourly” post TOfan.

Who is @britthixenbaugh, someone who uploaded the photo to Twitter?

  4. betsy says:

    Thanks for this, Deb.:)
Another thing about Jim C. He thought D’s dougie dancing video was amaaaazing and hilarious. 🙂
Now I have to watch the mtv christmas caroling video with the OHN snippet where he made the mtv guy cry. (jeffrey Christian) Also, I think the word he used was weep. Not that I remember every little thing lol.
One thing always leads to another.

  5. betsy says:

That guy? Jeffrey? This is what he wrote about it.
I was recently bestowed a gift from a friend and a genuine celebrity. Back in October, my friend Jim Cantiello, for an MTV News piece, was interviewing David Archuleta of “American Idol” fame. Jim asked David to go caroling throughout the company to a few people who were fans, and one of those visits was to me. When Jim arrived at my office, David asked which song would I like him to sing and without hesitation I told him that I’ve been listening to his recent holiday release and his version of “Oh Holy Night” so it would be an honor for him to sing that to me. Well, words can’t describe the emotionality of the moment – here was this young man, so humble and authentic, with a voice that rang through my mind like an angel on earth, singing “Oh, Holy Night” to a mere mortal like me, in my dark little cavern of MTV. In a word, celestial!

    • TOfan says:

I heard somewhere that the reason Jim has never posted the full video of that office OHN is because D. asked him not to at the time because he was about to do his CFTH tour and that song was his big “showstopper” LOL.

Visit here all the time, but 1st time to comment, as this post about Mister Rogers hit ‘home’, as my husband went to seminary in PGH with Fred. He was a great person and is so missed. I’d never seen this pic either…..thank you TOfan for sharing it and what you wrote (answer to the ‘p.p.s.—YES—LOL). TOfan, you make me laugh and cry and are just THE BEST at showing love & respect for David on this site.

    • TOfan says:

thanks so much TXNancy! And thanks for taking the time to comment! Hope you will more often!

That is so nice to hear about the “real” Mr. Rogers. Apparently his famous cardigan is in the Smithsonian… maybe David’s grandpa sweaters will be there one day too. 😆

Great post and great comments! Lots of interesting little tidbits. Thanks!

What relations they have between the woman called @britthixenbaugh and David?
