Nothing I like better than a good mystery … so when I happened upon these two clues of David Archuleta songs written but never heard, I couldn’t help but speculate … WHERE THE HECK ARE THEY????

In this September 2011 vlog, around the three-minute mark, David mentions working on songwriting for several songs for a “new project” and that he’ll let us know when it all comes together.
Is this BEGIN.: The early days? A project that never got off the ground?? My own personal hallucination???
Please share any thoughts, theories, wild guesses… heck, what else do we have to do for two years? 😆

Obviously they’re all part of the all-original-songs-written-by-David CD which is coming out in 2013. *wishful thinking* hahaha

Didn’t Sunny say something about working on some Christmas music with David right around this time? I think she referred to it in a tweet. Anybody else remember that? I always wondered what she was talking about and if that music would surface somewhere.

My guess is the September 2011 tweet was in regards to Fa La La La La.
A surprise at Christmas would be stellar! Wouldn’t be surprised actually if there are more sweet gifts up ahead and into 2013. Somehow I don’t think that we have received all everything planned. We certainly have received more than ever expected but will see what is up ahead. Would love FaLaLaLaLa or LDB (or anything for that matter)! Have a feeling David does have some music tucked away though. Probably has some gems hidden away in a secret musical vault holding that Sound Technician’s computer that abanana referred too. 🙂
I don’t know what mystery song(s) David was working on last year. Everyone’s ideas seem spot on. I do know that he will have many songs to share in the future, post mission that is. They are in incubation and when they mature I will be there to hear them. I believe his music, his art will continue to focus on messages, and, I think those messages will revolve around love, embracing love or the lack or loss of embedded with a message of hope.
When Love Awaits….This, as a song title, has been knocking around in my mind for forever it seems; since I first heard David sing in 2008. He is the epitome of love…love of family, love of faith, love of those in need, love of humankind, p.e.r.i.o.d.
I can’t help but visualize in bold colors and high emotion David interacting with those in need in Chile and their sense of being bathed in kindness, caring, compassion, and, yes, love.
David’s connection via song with his audience has always been quite obvious, and, also, I believe via his spoken word, with those who take a moment to listen to what he is revealing….his humility and love. David’s humility is a key aspect of his demeanor; and media, fans, and the public at large react in varying and disparate ways. Certainly on the spiritual and humane level, humility is highly valued. In the world of celebrity and in certain exclusively male dominated domains, not so much.
And love is, in general, usually experienced on four different paths: friendship, romantic, affection (with that which is familiar as in family or family-like individuals), and unconditional. Of course the media’s focus tends to be on romantic love. David’s artistry focuses on the other 3. And his mission, obviously, is all about love of humankind, the unconditional kind intertwined with love of the divine.
So any mystery song would be most welcomed. I wonder, though, if there is more until 2014 as it seemed much of “Begin.” was done in the waning minutes prior to David’s leaving for his mission. However, given the roll out of events to date, I wouldn’t be the least surprised if a few more songs, covers or originals, were released sporadically til David’s resuming his musical career. He does have great affection for his fans.
One can only hope for more mystery music from now til April 2014. 😀

You are actually asking for thoughts, theories, wild guesses about David? I had no idea we were running short on Archuleta speculation, LOL.
However, since you asked: What about those mystery Matt Clayton pix? Did we see only two? Who in the world—especially a pro–would show up and just take two pictures of Mr. Photogenic himself? Where are the other photos? Why are they hiding? What were/are they for? Archuleta trading cards? Wallpaper designs? Therapy for ODD?

Ray, I never heard that Jeff said David had at least 50 songs banked, but it wouldn’t surprise me. He wrote a lot of songs for both pop albums that we never heard. I hope he does release a Christmas EP. That would be great. I know, I’m a greedy fan. David has already given us five solo albums in four years so we are lucky fans indeed.
Fifty songs banked! I like the sound of that.

Love the speculation and hopes:) I think Kurt originally said there were 2 originals for BEGIN. Only one showed up on BEGIN. I’m hoping that means we will see the other released somewhere along the way.
There also was discussion about Fa la la la la being released as a single. Rumors said Sunny wants it released and David saying it was just for the MKOC tour. Was there a final decision??
I may be wrong on my recollection but hope not.
Also rumor floating around a while back that someone was Professionally taping one of the Eastern MKOC concerts. Will this be released during the upcoming Holidays?? Does it exist?
