In Doc Naree’s epic (and eagerly anticipated 🙂 ) interview, David Archuleta talked about how, many years ago, his voice coach arranged for him to speak with Michael Jackson, and sing for him a little, over the phone. He also hinted that he’s been practicing an M.J. song to possibly perform at some point. (That sound you hear? Heart falls out. Mine.)

Would love to hear David cover a MJ song! Would be epic. There are so many songs that David could cover and do them well but as far as the vote goes, gave my vote to Man In The Mirror, mainly because it is one of my absolute faves of MJ’s and I know it is one of David’s faves too. I could think of many however that he could add his gorgeous voice and style too. Hope it happens!

as for am MJ song…. I was a huge fan>> even got to see him live twice back in the day….Pretty much anything would WFM, hahah. I chose I’ll Be There off the list> would love M in the M too…Human Nature , Smooth Crininal and ,lol, How about BAD???

In COS on page 243, David mentions “Black or White” and “Man in the Mirror” as two of his favorite MJ songs.
We could be hearing one of these or both or a mash-up or medley or who knows?
David will surprise and amaze us! He’s a “Thriller!!”

Okay I did a little research and have come up with an MJ song for David to sing. While I’d love to hear him sing “Billy Jean”, too, TOfan, or “Rock With You” or “The Way You Make Me Feel” somehow I don’t think David would cover those. I think he’d do a great duet of “Black or White” with Bruno Mars. The song I think he would sing, because he loves a message song and because he likes to cover songs that weren’t the “biggest” hits by other artists is “Heal the World. But I would take any or all of the above! LOL
Oh, yeah, I forgot. If we’re doing Paul McCartney next, I already have that one picked out … “Maybe I’m Amazed”. 🙂

hate to say this, but I think we’ll see a Spanish album before we see him do a show here 😦 On the bright side, I was checking to see if GCT was back on iTunes Canada (it is!) & I noticed the CFTH album ranks in the top 200 holiday CDs there.

Probably true, but I don’t think his next album will be a Spanish one (career-wise that doesn’t make sense to me… although I’m obviously no expert), so it would have to be the one after that at the earliest. And I don’t really see any albums coming out soon at all, so it would definitely be a while before a Spanish album I think. And I think I might be a tad more hopefully optimistic than you about him coming up to Canada. Haha 🙂
